He plays keyboard in the video for Two Cups of Tea by Star Fucking Hipsters, which features stza (the lead singer of leftover crack) so maybe he was in leftover crack it wouldn't be too much of a stretch. Franz Nicolay is a bit of a legend though, really adds a lot to The Hold Steady.
