  • Clearly, this guy is VERY talented, and devoted a lot of his life to Wushu. This is the kind of thing that inspires others to do what they do.

  • I love WUSHU

  • i might be related to him he has my moms last name and he knows my cousins and crap

  • Im studing wushu kung-fu , jejeje only 3 days!!!

    but im able to learn!

  • what the name of that songs plss ??

  • How affective is this hand to hand? I study "MMA" mostly BBJ Muay Tai ,Boxing and Wrestling but I really wanna learn a effective style that I can us offensively to put people in unorthodox situations and take out even some of the experienced people in an unfamiliar spot? if you have any MMA experience give me some suggestions the fight style listed above are styles of studied for over 5 years at my gym ...

  • @coreysm1th

Real Kung Fu/Wushu incorporates everything but it is hard to find a true chinese master that knows this, I'm lucky enough to have found a school that teaches everything so at the end of about 10 years I will have learned weapons, ground fighting, trapping, standing, and several other different ways to fight.

  • @coreysm1th the jumps don't work, they're just for style points, but if you want to do some good traditional applications, there's some cool standup stuff from baji, xingyi, etc.

the problem is that finding a strong school is difficult because in non-sport wushu there are a lot of fakers pretending to be pro, so you can't judge a style by the "teachers".

or you can check out sanda, they've got some variations and uses for "orthodox" stuff. that and a meanass side kick.

  • @wooshoo Yeah I always thought "Traditional" or the "core" of wushu is more hand to hand combat , like Good knock out power and punching techniques I study Jujitsu and Kickboxing right now at a MMA gym right now , During Open Mat sessions I have the worst problems with wrestlers .. So i'd like to get some good wrestling defense .

  • @coreysm1th

this is not at all effective. this new kind of wushu is made for looking pretty only.

besides that you can´t really compare kung fu with a fighting sport.

kung fu doesn´t have any rules so if a kung fu fighter would be allowed to actually use what he practiesed then for example :

Hung Gar guys would try to rip of your muscles or skin with the heavy forearm- and finger strengh

and Snakestyle experts would try stabbing you in your eyes or throat

  • no offence but this tip tap stuff does not work against pro mma fighters.

looks like this wusu kung fu is more suited for movies

  • @martialartist048 hope that answers your question =)

  • @martialartist048 i think what he means by spiritual and mental is that in order to succeed, you have to put your heart into whatever it is you do, whether it be martial arts or anything else (music, school, work, etc). It's more than just the physical, conscious action of meditation and visualization (although those two do help a lot with martial arts), but it's something a lot deeper. in the end i believe it comes from the love a person has for what they do--this passion is what brings success

  • Es realmente impresionante, el wushu Kung fu, padre de todas las artes marciales, es bonito de ver es efectivo e impresionante.

  • i always wanteed to learn wushu but i have no idea wherei should go..im in california in the 209 valley. nebody know where there are any places in cali? im kinda tall so idk if id be any good, still id like to try.,

  • @Bolt646 Hey Bolt, i am not very familiar with your area but you are never too tall nor too short to do anything. My uncle is 35 years old, and he is 6"3 and he does wushu with me. He really encouraged me to train hard, and that no matter how old you are you can still continue to do what you love. But for me i am not that tall i am 5"7 :) and i love Wushu

  • @MuradDaRuthless hm that sounds kewl^_^

i want to try i just dunno where ima find sum1 to teach meh.

  • @Bolt646 hey, i also am not familiar what your area--but if you're in southern california, you can find a lot of schools in the LA area, and around Rowland Heights/Walnut.

  • @loeaglelo ah thank u! if i move down there i will definately look into it =D

  • SCWA FTW!!!! I LOVE WUSHU< AND I LOVE SCWA< AND I LOVE SIFU HO :)

  • Chris (Sifu) Ho's Student EPIC!!!

  • this is ridiculous.. he floats

    so much respect

  • At 0:14 the guy like floats through the air, that looks so awesome!

  • 0:14 lag?

    -J. Lou

  • where can be teached to do this :D

  • wouldn't want to pick a fight with him!

  • wooo this really cool your video, vderdad, the music is good father

    :D

  • What Song Is Playing?

  • WOW O.O

  • youre great! the kind of that inspire me to train and focus harder! im still new at wushu (around 3 months) but i fall in love with it everyday a little more! hope someday i get this good like you, but for sure i want to get the best i can be! :)

  • @nanaperti same here

  • Absolutely sick! Great job bro. Keep it up. Hope you get scouted to make movies!

  • @davecub His demonstration may seem like gymnastics, but I have EVERY confidence this guy could kick some serious ass.

  • Rly nice. If he could only get some real explosive speed into his movements still and would be a total killer moves :) MORE SPEED. MORE EXPLOSIVNESS. But very graceful and sharp movements. I like it. Peace.

  • nice reel DY.

    your old wushu bro,

    Tri

  • super active

  • O.O *speechless*

    This guy is just awsome

Btw can anyone tell me what's the difference with Kung-Fu,Karate,taë-kwon-do and haikido??

  • idk what haikido is. kung fu is the largest branch of kung fu, a lot of in depth things and an overall way of life. kung fu is from china. kung fu focuses on the whole body (depending on your style it will focus on different areas). and keeping one safe while promoting good helth. karate is japanese, not sure what its main focus is on. tae kwon do is korean, and although they do practice some upper body techniques, its mostly about the legs. kicking and jumping is prevalent in tae kwon do.

  • @Diabandana in hapkido theres alot more grappling but its like TKD. just had the grappling techniques in there. and some takedowns

  • This is awesome, but it's not fighting - it's more gymnastics or dance.

  • obviously nobody ever told him about gravity... ^^ this vid is 100% awesome

  • *fart*. Yea, I know! I remember when I found out about gravity...my world came crashing down! :P

  • Im sure its much harder to do all those jumps if you have learned about gravity befor. At least I had my troubles in hapkido. ;-P Im pretty sure thats due to our phyiscs lessons in school.

  • crazy as always... hhaha

  • awesome !!

  • First I want to ask what the difference between wushu and kung fu. or actually their both are same? are by studying wushu will be easy to learn kung fu? .... I want to learn kung fu, but in my town there's only wushu ..

  • wushu is kung fu but for art purposes. however many people who want to learn it not only for demonstration will find wushu schools better since most "kung fu" schools are run by someone who was just bad at wushu.

  • what is this song called?

  • dont remember the song title, but its by es posthumous, and the album is called Earth

  • u gotta respect wushu their body control is so rediculous....this is one of the only arts i could never get into

  • yes he is

  • great kungfu and video!

  • uhmazing

  • 你是很好!加油!

I REALLY need to train harder haha!

  • this looks like showing off

  • hey i got a question what kind of workout you do? and how often ? Thx :)

    your so good x)

  • heyhey pls some1 help me pls help me..

my school teacher he does kungfu since 40years ... he do wudang kung fu .. he was so spiritual and mental strong he always said 2 me i shall attack hi i did and he always did rlly strong and cool moves and tricks it was awesome its not like boxing and kickboxing ... my first question is ... i wanna go kungfu too.. how long does it take that i can be a good fight im rlly strong in mental i think .... and im rlly clever . pls answer

  • how old are you ? If you want to go Gong Fu then you should start streching because in Gong Fu / WuShu you need to be flexible. But it depends on you how fast you be good. Some take it easy some people work hard. I always put a big achievment makes me work much harder.

  • I got pupmed up by Bruce Lee´s seriees and now this.... i am being to train Wushu Kung Fu in 3 days. :-)

I realy think i can make it to the top of the world.

    DY

  • awesome wushu man. How do you glide through the air like that and land with ease?? I would prob break my bones in several places if I did that :(

  • every time i watch this reel i am amazed by how much control and airtime he gets with those kicks. so much control with those jumping front kicks

  • Part coring & martial arts tight

  • zajímám se o něj už delší dobu. Píšeme si, ale bohužel ho neznám osobně. Cvičím stejný styl jako on (nejsem tak dobrej), tak se ho vyptávám na ruzné tipy a tak...

  • Tell us what are your achievements!

I guess You are a real master at Wu-shu.

  • yes he's formal US wushu champion and he competed in ''K-Star''. Now he's even on the screen!

  • Těší mě že nejsem jediný čech na tomto videu. Zajímalo by mě odkud má ty informace o tomdle skutečném Mistrovi. :)

BTW zajímáš a cvičíš něco podobného?

  • wtf is the name of this song this shit is hot

  • This is awesome. It is crazy and beautiful at the same time.

  • bad ass man

  • holy shmoly racka moly

  • WOW! i didnt want that to end! You are so good at what you do. This if BY FAR the best Wushu i have EVER seen!!!! I wish i could learn this so much but there is no where that teaches it where i live! shame! Keep it up friend - You are amazing!

  • shitmotherfucker this guy is FLYING.

but are aerials more about the jump than the spin? because this guy can spin way slow and float, yet everyone tells me the key to aerials is to spin fast enough.

  • As you jump it higher and higher, you don't need to spin so fast. But this is achieved over a long period of time.

  • You WIN !!! very nice moving !

  • you have traditinal training

  • holy crap ur good, what belt are u?

  • this is too awesome

  • martial arts rules

  • woow your jumps are so so high! @@

Can you please please tell me what do you do to jump this high!!?

is it weight training + plyos!!

  • invisiblewushu,

actually i just find a lot of innovative ways to keep myself building jumping muscles.

like my old routine for jumping was 2 hours wushu training including a lot of jumps, 3 hours of basketball, and 3 hours of clubbing haha.

i would always get calf cramps at the club.

this is a true story :D

    dY :D

  • From there, D.Y. went on to represent the USA at the World Games in Macau, China while, at the same time, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from UCI.

Today, D.Y. looks forward to inspiring others just as he was inspired as a boy, watching his heroes light up the TV screen in his small home in Long Beach. His new passion is acting and film. He is expanding his talents to not only act on-screen, but also to fight choreography.

    - imdb

  • In return, D.Y. gave his sifu all he had to offer - his heart, his tears, his sweat, his blood...

Three years after walking through Sifu Ho's doors, D.Y. was proud to say, he'd brought his sifu numerous medals and honors; the highest achievement being the national title, making D.Y. a member of the U.S. National Wushu Kung Fu Team in 2003-2004.

  • At the age of 21, D.Y. was first formally introduced to Chinese martial arts, "wushu." At the Southern California Wushu Academy in Garden Grove, CA, Sifu Chris Ho took D.Y. under his wing. A full-time college student at the University of California, Irvine and working part-time jobs, D.Y. had little, if anything, to return financially. Despite these obstacles, Sifu Ho's generosity made wushu a possibility for him.

  • D.Y.'s love for martial arts was recognized at an early age. At age seven, a visit to a karate school dazzled and amazed D.Y., but training in martial arts was a luxury his family could not afford. He would have to settle for watching and imitating figures like Jet Li and Jackie Chan till something changed.

  • Half of the Cambodian population was being murdered as D.Y. let out his first cry. As refugees, his family escaped the communist regime and fled to Thailand, the Philippines and, eventually, America where he was raised in Long Beach, California.

  • Just great!!!

  • werboweckjybahamut*

  • y was this vid deleted it was friggin awesome

  • I just noticed me gf pointed it out, the whole room is mounted with medals!!! The entire wall(s)

  • isnt this a video they put on the EMC monkeys CD?

  • I feel stupid for asking this because i am a hung gar kuen practitioner myself but what is the difference between kung fu and wushu. when you search wushu you get videos of flashy forms with flips etc. but when i search kung fu i get southern fist type styles/forms that are very grounded with little acrobatics. I always thought there was no difference between the 2 and they were just different names to refer to all the styles.

  • Hey dude, its not something to be ashamed of because many ppl dont (or still) know the difference ^^.

Let me say this: Wushu = new term of Kung fu or martial arts.

Kung fu = term for awesome skillz :3 (its the easiest explanation for it ^_^')

But its a different story for ppl who train chinese martial art. In their terms(or at the very least in my oppinion of the terms): Wushu = flashy acrobatics

Kung fu (the martial art) = not very flashy but useful in fighting and building up the body.

  • wushu means martial arts, kung fu, means a sect of wushu, thats all really

  • all hail wushu

  • what's the music plzz?

  • spiderman 2 soundtrack

i forgot the exact name. something like E.S. pompeii or something strange

    sorry that probably ddin't help

  • Not bad. I'd beat them in a fight though. I do a style of Kung Fu called sanda and it is more about fighting than chi-gong. You do however punch through solid concrete walls (easy) smash 20 slate roof tiles (very easy except when you go through the floor as well...) and run around a room on the wall (very very very very tiring...)

  • I dont know dude, DY is a pretty competent fighter as well as an amazing wushuist. I wouldn't mess with him. And as for your skills list, i truly am curious to see those things, please, post a video of them and let me know. That would be quite a feat to punch through the floor ;)

  • It's actually very easy if you are mentally disciplined enough. It does however require about half an hour of meditation I shall try my best to get my Sensei's permission however he doesn't like it when his methods and students are publicised.

  • Sensei? Thats Japanese, isn't it? Do you mean Sifu. Because San Shou or San Da is definately chinese. But if you put some videos up I would be really impressed.

  • oh REALLY now? from the looks of it u look like a fat kid who sits behind a computer and try to act hardcore with the keyboard. Go back to gaming kk thanks

  • It's amazing how incaccurate you are... The Kung-fu I do (Sanda) is not about this silly dancing... It is about taking an opponent apart as fast as humanley possible...
