If you buy an Alfa romeo its got to be red...silver isn't the best colour to show off

the style, also the V6 busso engine is a gem, designed by Ex Ferrari engineer.

The GTV was penned and built by Pinninfarina so with the V6 its a baby Ferrari

but without the exotic pricetag...forza Alfa romeo...

me, its a real driver focused car, a gem..also very stylish being Italian...

Had the rest over the last 15 years, last 5 = Alfa's and the best fun on four wheels..

Engines are twincam VVT and 8x plug with 155bhp which isn't much these days,

but mated to that close ratio gearbox its a stormer, 3000 to 7000rpm its all Raspy

like most good italian twincams and 60mph in 8.1 sec isn't that slow..

The joy is the way the power come on, howling and raspy, addictive stuff..

they are lighter... and more comfortable when driving in town.

the v6 is for driving long distances.

Ford always have good builds how many 23 year old cars with a 1.6 N/A cvh single cam engine do u know that will hit 60 in 7.4 seconds and easyly hit 120mph.

i am not saying that its slow. i ve driven a ford focus and i must say that is very fast for a 1.6 car, and its very agile. But older escorts mk II of monedos 90s models are very very very bad build. but they are fun to drive !

since the early 1990's so do not rust, they use Bosch fuel injection so always start, one of my Alfa's is 10 years old and i've used it everyday for the last 4 and a half years and its always started, but still even it it decided not to start one day i would rather push my Alfa romeo than drive a BMW.....

The myth regarding reliability and rust is just that, pure myth,

@Pinin500 ; My Alfa experience has been fantastic, so good i added a GTV as a weekend car, no rust and

everything including electric seats, air con all works perfectly and this is a 6 year old car, looks like new..

Cars need servicing once a year and if the owner neglects it then it may become unreliable (like any car)

Life is too short for so called perfect cars, bring on the italian madness

The V6 is too heavy fort this car... and then there are problem with turning and braking but on long distances it will be good but agree with mischievous666 .. V6 to highways, the others everywhere... but what is your opinion on 1.9JTD or 2.4JTD. I know diesel...but they are drinking about 6-7l/100km... thanks :-)

i agree with you lol also they have bad springs. i had a alfa 156 v6 (tuned to 260bhp) for a track car and it wasnt worth it..worse handling i'v felt
