  • 8:38 - There's the Earth in the top left of the rings! (TRUE)

  • @MrPhysicsFan Earth is not located in saturns rings!!!

  • @EtroTheHedgehog It's a photo of Saturn eclipsing the sun, as photographed by the Cassini probe. Earth is a tiny blue dot viewed through the top left of the rings. The earth is, in that picture, approximately a billion miles away.

  • @EtroTheHedgehog Earth is definitely not located in Saturn's rings. Anyone who passed third grade science class knows that. But the blue dot in that picture, as viewed through (not as a part of, but THROUGH) Saturn's rings. In that image, the earth is a billion miles away.

And by "eclipse" I meant that Cassini was on one side of Saturn, and the Sun was on the other side. Saturn passed in front of the Sun, and Cassini took a picture of it. Simple as that.

  • @dudestr5552 Right i understand that you can't say that earth is part of saturns rings but how can you say Saturn is eclipsing the sun if from earth there is no eclipse. An eclipse is defined as SEEN ON EARTH.

  • @EtroTheHedgehog Saturn was passing in between the Sun and the Cassini probe when the probe snapped that picture. Perhaps it isn't "as seen from earth," but Saturn is definitely transiting the sun in that picture at 8:38.

  • @dudestr5552 Yes i realize that but it is in no way eclipsing the sun. Transiting maybe not eclipsing

  • @EtroTheHedgehog Perhaps I misspoke, for which I apologize. Either way it's still a fantastic, fantastic picture.

  • @dudestr5552 Yes yes it is!

  • This sounds like "The Universe is mostly eternal".
