For a while it was Return of the Jedi, now its Empire. i hope i can find an original unaltered version of any of the first three films, without having to pay a shit load of money.
The first Star Wars had the most heart of them all. Empire was the only one that took the material seriously and was the best made of the six. Return of the Jedi was the first SW movie I saw, so I have a soft spot for it, but it showed some of the flaws we'd later see plaguing the Prequels. Phantom Menace was a childish mess, the product of a writer/director who hadn't worked in decades and had lost touch with his roots and maybe even the human race. AOTC was unexciting and had bad dialogue...
... and the worst on-screen romance I've possibly ever seen with zero chemistry between the actors involved in depicting said romance. Clones had some cool set pieces, but they were not the sum of their parts and the whole thing didn't hold together. Revenge of the Sith had the right tone overall, barring some stupid cartoony bits that felt wrong. It's the closest to being what the Prequels should have been like in terms of look and feel, but the characters were mostly flat.

Favorite Star wars... Reven- sorry revenge is "too menacing"- Return of the Jedi. Ewoks were the original Jar-Jar Binks, but they still managed to make the rest of it work and the Emperor was badass! When I saw him shoot LIGHTNING out of his fingers I pissed myself (not really but it was shocking!) then Saruman (you know, Willy Wonka's dad) had to ruin everything for us.

@ComicMaster2008 Actually, George Lucas did not write Empire (check the credits he came up with the story, thats it). In Jedi there was another screenwriter along with Lucas. Yes, he did write the three prequels. He didn't write Lost Ark, he just came up with the story. The two are different things. So, there is 3 to 1 that prove to audiences that he cannot write very well, or that he just didn't care. Regardless he made millions.
I really enjoyed the prequals and am a huge fan of the star wars saga. The original trilogy is my favorite, but why do you not like the prequal. I'm curious and hope you post videos of your reviews on those as well
Jeremy if you haven't seen a documentary called The People VS George Lucas, go see it, it's a pretty neat film about the fans' love-hate relationship with Lucas' decisions on remastering films.

I love all six movies, the originals are of course the best movies I have ever seen. I cannot say which is my favorite, but I do more or less prefer Empire, one word, Yoda.
As a kid, my favorite was Return of the Jedi, and I still love it but now that I've grown I feel that the best movie of the series is The Empire Strikes Back.

I have always enjoyed the Star Wars films, but I would never say I'm a Star Wars Fan. After seeing Jeremy's passion about the film, I may need to go back and watch my old VHS tapes. They're the only "Original" Star Wars versions I have. Thank You Jeremy!

For me the TRANSFORMERS trilogy is what many people call the STAR WARS prequel trilogy. Special effects driven, shallow, for the most part poorly acted, and juvenile and not doing justice to the original sources. The only one I had fun with was the first one, but that was only on a very superficial level.

@nmoravec1 Or your just being a fan boy. Everyone knows episode I & II sucked balls but Episode III wasn't a bad film, it really added to the backstory of Vader, although it kinda messed up by killing Padme in the way they did... although I like that Vader accidently killed her.

@aquapendulum agree ppl need to stop dishing the prequels or the originals the are both great in their own rite one tells the story about how the republic become evil n the other set up on how evil was defeated. i dont give a fuck about sfx as along as it tells a good story n not over used over one in another. lucas should just tell more stories about the knight of the old republic which is the whole point of making star wars. we wanna see more true jedi not the golden boy jedi wanna be.

I have always enjoyed the Star Wars films, but I would never say I'm a Star Wars Fan. After seeing Jeremy's passion about the film, I may need to go back and watch my old VHS tapes. They're the only "Original" Star Wars versions I have. Thank You Jeremy!

For me the TRANSFORMERS trilogy is what many people call the STAR WARS prequel trilogy. Special effects driven, shallow, for the most part poorly acted, and juvenile and not doing justice to the original sources. The only one I had fun with was the first one, but that was only on a very superficial level.
