The only WW3 conceivable now is the US aggresion against a country guaranteed by China or Russia. Declining empires tend to cover their economic weakness and domestic problems by increasing their military budget and aggresion.

Russia and China would definitely protect Iran. Not because of Iranians but because of themselves. Nobody wants the aggresive power like the US on their borders. That must be the dumbest argument I've ever heard for a country going to war. First off, Iran and China are NOT neighbors. Secondly, the US did invade a neighbor of China: Afghanistan. And China didn't do shit. Being neighbors does not equate having a defensive treaty.

Yes, you can. By your logic we could not hold Nazi Germany responsible for the Holocaust. After all it was only a few select fanatics that actually knew about the gas chambers or actively killed anyone.
Any group of people, whether defined by religion, nationality etc as a "group" bears a responsibility for keeping violent, radical or otherwise destructive elements amongst themselves in check and from harming others.
