Man you could really tell how scared he was when they were fucking with him and telling him he was straight. Meanie brainiacs! He was sooo relieved when they told him his brain showed he was gay. How frightening that moment must have been. It would seriously mess with my head if the readings had been different than I'd expected.. you'd start questioning everything about yourself. And to tell someone a lie and make a joke of it and tell the truth after? I know John's a good-humoured guy and can take a joke like that, but suppose another subject were very anxious about their results? Not a very professional attitude to have.

I think if they encountered a subject who was anxious or nervous, they wouldn't have made the joke. John's clearly very comfortable with himself and his sexuality so that's probably why they were so relaxed. For me personally a more relaxed atmosphere would have made me feel better, that might have been what they were aiming for.

If you think about it, thinking gayness is a choice is something only a repressed gay person or a bisexual person would think. If one has the choice between being with men and being with women, it is because one is sexually attracted to both.

To understand gayness as a choice, one would have to believe that sexual attraction IS a choice. Hence, if one can choose to be attracted to someone of one's same gender or not, it means that one CAN be attracted to people of the same gender, or that one has been, but has not acted on it.

Yet, in reality, one would have to be gay or bisexual to be able to experience same sex attraction.
