who cares about ya comments weather its auto or stick paddle or not...its comes down to an individual preference...nobody saying anything gonna persuade someone else decision..if you feel stick is better good thats your opinion..others feel autos paddles are better due to track circuit reason..hence f1..so none of ya comments matters an individual gonna buy what hes gonna buy
Your statement "everybody is going to lean towards the car with the real stick shift." is the whole point of the argument. He is obviously using sarcasm on his standpoint, a majority of people want stick shift, but his statement "maybe next time" is used to lure those 5-10% of people who want a paddle shifter.
The whole argument revolved around your misinterpretation of this. Id think nice and hard about the next statement you make, as you have already made yourself look like a fool.
@TheLancer386 On the contrary my friend. As I do not make up statistics out of thin air? where did you go to school? obviously at SHIT UNIVERSITY. Just end these childish arguments. it's a stupid car review and you need to suck my balls.
@xboxkiller1264 Thus the point is proven you resort to childish comments. For one seeming to be so smart and saying others go to a "SHIT UNIVERSITY" You sure do seem awfully childish. Did it ever occur to you how stupid and ignorant your comments sound? You should try reading this: answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080929084707AA3k56m
Posting after that foolish comment truly does show your ignorance and immaturity and allot about your character
@TheLancer386 It was implied that he wanted the paddle shifters when in the video he said "Maybe next year." this implies that the reviewer wanted to have paddle shifters in the next Mustang.
However, I believe the Mustang would not be a very appropriate car to have paddle shifters. This could be comparable to a Ferrari with a stick shift. The whole idea is ridiculous and probably would never happen, as to the fact that Ford would loose many of the loyal Mustang community supporters.
@xboxkiller1264 But still implied this. He never directly said this. I could imply many different things and not really want them. For instance he could have been using an elementary term called sarcasm, I know its a hard thought, but you don't know for sure that he implied he wanted the paddle shifters.
@TheLancer386 I don't think that a person hired to do a car review for a new model car would use sarcasm in his review. It's unprofessional and if he did it many times people wouldn't know if he was being serious or not. He would be fired for participating in such childish means of communication.
@xboxkiller1264 Sarcasm isn't always seen as childish. And as you said yourself a majority of Mustang buyers wouldn't want the paddle shifters anyway. Thus is a majority wouldn't want them why would he have stated "Maybe next year?" This "could" directly imply sarcasm.
@TheLancer386 I understand what your saying. However, the impression I got from this man is that he is not a typical Mustang owner. As nowhere in the video he states he has a Mustang. He clearly has a different taste in cars that you or I, and just because you don't agree with somebody doesn't mean that you can bash them or call them names.
@xboxkiller1264 First of all, I was very kind and courteous to you, I never bashed or called you a name I simply voiced my opinion of what i thought he implied. You never had to continue this "argument" as you might call it.
I clearly had a different opinion than you, and i voiced that. Truth is, he might have a Mustang, and like paddle shifters also. Odds are though he doesn't like paddle shifters on a classic piece of American engineering.
@TheLancer386 Sir, the odds are not in your favor. You just say that because you interpreted the car review in a different way than I did. I respect your opinion, but you can't come in here and tell me my opinion is wrong and bash on a nice Mustang.
As to the car, putting paddles in a Mustang just isn't right. They did this with the Chevy Camaro and well, lets be honest, you can see how far that got. It ruins the feel of the car and makes the driver left out of the driving experience.
@xboxkiller1264 Your comment makes completely no sense at all. It obviously shows that you incompetent to believe that the man testing this vehicle would prefer paddle shifters over a normal stick.
The odds are indeed in my favor here as a majority of people would agree that manual transmissions are better. Thus voiding your above statement of "the odds are not in your favor."
@TheLancer386 Your obviously the incompetent one here. The job of an auto review is to give an impartial decision on the vehicle. He is saying he wants paddle shifter because he speaking solely from a mechanical standpoint. Let's be honest, paddle shifters are faster, but everybody is going to lean towards the car with the real stick shift.

I would like to point out that now that you brought the BOSS 302 back and that's amazing, i am gaga over it , but for 2013 how's about the BOSS 429, it would be great. Based on the Gt500 but with the handling of the 302....
@mokos23 The new redesign will be on 2014 marking the 50th anniversary of this beautiful mustang and the new mustang will be a worldwide shared sports car meaning that it will go on sale in all the continents and it will provide a right steering wheel for the euro countries and others it wil also be on a new platform and will also be designed with the help of ford europe and will probably look more european it will also have an independent rear suspension all wheel drive and eco engines
@alzailaie07 Exactly what it looks like. I was being sarcastic towards your hopes and dreams for the Mustang. Nice car by all means, but Ford wont do that.
@CrazyStuntmen8000 I wish you luck until now i still don't know what you want the stuff i said isn't my words it's actually fords words and thats what they plan so live with it and if you were actually searching and digging for information you would find that all the information i said is in fords website you can find it by simply googling it . Also, i wish you change your mind about the new mustang and you better hope your wrong because its too late\
All this is a gt500 body with gt emblems and front fog lights on it. They shoulda just kept this years design and made minor tweaks to the exterior. Those wheels are hideous.
I do like the idea of up and down rocker switch for the transmission, but seriously?? If you own a auto 2011 or 2012 mustang, 2nd gear takes you to 80 mph, and 3rd gear takes you to 118 mph at stock shift points AND stock 3.15 gears. You never need to fuss with 4th 5th or 6th gears.
Theres no reason for a paddle shift, if you are on the highway driving 75 or so, just pull back one gear on the shifter and its good for 120mph. First is 40mph Second is 80mph and Third is 118mph. Love my auto 5.0
Great video, i like the looks of the rear tail lights blacked out and the black panel on the decklid... Im not sure about the fit and finish, but my 2011 GT rear decklid looks just like that one in the video. Its curved and DOES NOT protrude as this guy suggests. I believe the black out look makes it appear it sets in different, but i just went and checked my car, its the same deckid.
I hate the GNX hood vents/ extractors
The front nose appearance is derived from the GT500, not a new design.
Can't wait for the 2015 which will have a modern fully independent rear suspension and direct injection on the 5.0 which would make it a 420+ horsepower V8 that gets almost 30 MPG...now that is monumentally awesome.
Nice engine, great stance, but does it really matter in this age of plastic bumpers and crush-zones and soft, cushiony door panels that this bloated design looks BETTER?
Nothing against Ford, but nobody looks twice at these things.
@Swidhelm - i drive a stick mini S. I will trade it for a 2013 mustang GT. I will not get the mustang with the stick shift. there are some serious problems with that transmission. Ford is under investigation and might do a major recall for all manual mustangs (except for the GT500 which has a different manual). I am disappointed that ford did not change the manual for 2013. ill be taking the auto transmission
I HATE paddle shifters. You can't get the true feeling of the car when you use them.
