Yum! Well I gave it a shot and I'm certainly not a cook by any means. So I was pretty excited to surprise my husband with this dessert and he loved it! Thank you for sharing this yummy recipe :)
I watched you make this last week, so we bought the stuff to make it over the weekend. I did deviate from your recipe just a bit, since neither my husband or I are huge fans of chocolate icing. Instead I used some whipped cream cheese icing.
I made it last night and we tried it this morning when my husband got home from work - all I could say was "Oh my...!" Haha
I now have an awesome new dessert recipe in my arsenal! Thank you very much!
@cassienjoel I put mine in the microwave for 30 seconds and I poured it right over and didn't even need to spread it. It was creamy enough to just seep into place. Thanks for the suggestion. :)
I had to pull this back up to watch you make it again and mine is just in the fridge. It's killing me to not eat it already!! I don't know if I can let it sit for 24 hours without attacking it. :) Thank you for the recipe! You rock my socks off :)
omg I am totally on a diet and should deff not be watching these kind of videos but I couldnt help it! lol...this one is going in my faves for later... :)
That looks so nice. I'm not sure if I could get some of the ingredients in the UK. Shame. But suppose it wouldn't be the best thing to eat on slimming world anyway!!
@rachyriottt Same same in Australia, I hear ya! But I do think we have American sweet shops around (Don't ask where, I forgot. Maybe there is the same there?
@rachyriottt WHAT?! That's crazy! I had no idea. Sorry you won't be able to make it :( I will make another recipe soon without any of those ingredients :)
yum! I know you said the light/fat free cool whip wouldn't work, what about the sugar free? I'm suppose to be cutting down on my sugar intake, and I already have the sugar free pudding and icing soo hmmm I guess it's worth a shot haha
@ababyforus I'm not sure about that. I tried to use light cool whip on this and a pie one time and it just would NOT set. It was super runny, even when I tried to put it in the freezer! Maybe try sugar free pudding to cut down on the sugar? I haven't tried that either though so I couldn't attest to how it would work. I'm sorry :(
Yay! I'm so glad you did this! I've seen the recipe for this on a baking blog and have been wanting to make it, so now I know exactly what it's supposed to look like! :)
Colby was cracking me up in the background too... Haha.
im from australia and we dont have cool whip here, what is it?
