  • Nicely done....

  • rembrandt looks like this guy i know, except he is a computer programmer

  • Wonderful tribute. Thank you.

  • he sure liked hats and he should have kept the tash it suited him.

  • Breathtaking. Thank you.

  • that was spectacular , everything about this video was perfect

  • what kind of hat does he wear

  • Beautifully done! I'm sure Rembrandt is very happy with your work!

  • Rembrandt alive through his paintings . . . haunting and very cool.

  • Rembrandt paints a painting of himself every day for 50 years.

  • Putting to-gather a morph must be a lot of work. I did a shattered effect with some of my art and found not all art lends itself to that pictorial technique. Your work is liquid and the art of Rembrandt is always compelling. Great job!

  • OMG! He looks as if he's alive in your video. Bravo!! Love It!

  • Magnifique et émouvant !

  • wow this is awesome. (We have 3 gay people among us)

  • This is fantastic. I've added a link to it on my website.

  • Wow! Quite a work of love. You must like his work very much. Thank you!

  • wow nice effects! very very suggestive, and music too!

  • i love it

  • The video is super just the last picture is not the final painting of Rembrandt. And i think it was good, if the final painting should be the painting of Rembrandt too. But it is good so too of course. Just i think i say it to you.

  • Somnambulists of the world unite....

  • he sure liked himself though...mind you deservedly so, i like him too

  • Wow! Amazing work you did. Captures characteristics of his genius.

  • Beautiful work!

  • Oh god , this is SO moving. Do you see that the terrible, horrific doom, the mortality that is expressed here is SO oppressive. Congratulations on creating something very simple that is so majestic, so powerful. I adore Rembrandt as the greatest artist of them all. But your film lends him such dignity, such respect and also such terrible sadness. Ah, very impressive, very moving. Thank you.

  • на такой клип всего 45 тыс. просмотров каких-то... кошмар.

  • excellent morphing

  • super!

  • So do I. Yet it seems we are a rather small group.

One of my favorites is de La Tour.

    Keep enjoying the video.

  • Rembrandt was a painter who find out how to play with the light on paintings! Great done!

  • great artist, great vid. peace for sharing.

  • Your great video art can touch inner clock of each viewer |thank you|.

  • Wow that was perfect :D. What program do you use for those pictures??

  • excellent my friend! Rembrandt was a true genius and master of painting.Modern art crap shall look back at old art and try to see the pitiful disgrace of what the art is today!

  • @vaporizer08 yes, baroque art does hold more beauty and detail than modern art, but modern art expresses much, much more, mainly because the modern artists and the world today is much more open-minded than Europe in the baroque period.

  • This is the greatest youtube video of all I have seen nothing like - it is so sad near the end its unbelievable. Rembrandt van Rin was a true master and thats pefectly morphed an great music too !

  • wow

    really nice

    cool

  • Rembrandt through the years! Great work lemurheart! :)

  • Absolutely spectacular!

  • He sure has style.

  • Hey that's pretty neat. Although, the last morphing image of Rembrandt looks younger than the last two before this one. He was ending looking very fragile and senile and then BANG!! he finished looking like if he was back to 58 or so. (Maybe he got a facelift that slipped thru the fingers of historians? We will nerver know, Lol)

  • effimero gusto di unistante ,

creazione di eleganza e raffinatezza !!

  • I've watched this video many times; it was tastefully put together. It's moving to see the life of this icon of an age pass in just two and a half minutes. Most of us will go just as quickly without bequeathing such a legacy. Thanks lemurheart.

  • I just returned from the MET in New York and saw a great deal of his paintings. This video would be a great addition to these . The viewing public would really enjoy it.

  • awesome...thank you my friend..!

  • intelligence; c'est félicitation!.............

  • Wow, he was a good looking chap. Fantastic portraits!

  • Extraordinario video....

    Saludos

  • eES REALMENTE HERMOSA LA PINTURA DE ESTE ARTISTA MEGUSTA MUCHISIMO ESTOY FELIZ DE VERLO

  • You can't make your paintings look like this anymore because no lead paint. The lead paint crystalizes and makes the paint crack over time. You can apply rabbit skin glue and use a traditional ground. But with out boiling the lead and mixing it with some sort of chalk as rembrandt did, you will not come close to acheiving a taut painting service. These painting days are over, sadly.

  • A piece of art itself. Thank you for this tribute.

  • If I could go back in time...I'd show him this video on my netbook when he was 19 just to totally trip him out.

  • excellent morphing!

  • Muy bueno! Gracias por compartirlo.

  • Impressive! It was his soul that I felt. Thanks.

  • fave painters ever. genious

  • Exquisite! Absolutely gorgeous!! This nearly brought tears to my eyes. To me, Rembrandt was nearly a god whose works are wonderful, and in his self portraits we see a man so full of intelligence, sadness, human sympathy, a little vanity, but compassion as well. An autobiography without words ...

  • Awesome! What a wonderful study of Rembrandt and his self portraits!!

  • My God that is Absolutely Incredible - its like the artists soul for all to see - Master piece of video as well !

  • Amazing!

  • Please tell me which programme did you use. Thx a lot

  • some nice morphing, payed enough attention for centering the immages and good timing...5* and placed into my playlist of Rembrandt

  • well done.

  • so good!

  • Great job, the song goes so well and the progression of the portraits is flawless!

  • Even men in his era were concerned with losing their hair. He started wearing a hat very soon in life. Easily one of the best artist ever though.

  • what's the song?

great paintings but what's the song?

    please reply asap.

    thank you very much. ^^

  • Breath of Light, by String Theory

  • A truly great artist.

  • Thanks for this!!!

  • questi si che erano pittori...oggi ci vogliono far credere che l'arte moderna è arte..ma andate a cagare

  • I am happy! You made Rembrandt a living person, my Saint is alive and a human being showing his lifetime. EXCELLENT !!!

maartje van lieshout, admirer of Rembrandt.

  • Only a master like Rembrandt could continue to inspire so many through the ages. I love him, too. Thanks for your kind words.

  • awesome!!!! what' the software that you have used? pinnacle??

  • Thanks. I used abrosoft's fantamorph :)

  • great video, a lesson in humility that none, not even the greats, will ever stay in their prime forever...

  • brilliant .........what else can I say......

  • WOW. Excellent.

  • What is the name of the song that you used for your video? its really fascinating

  • It's Breath of Light, by String Theory

  • pls say name program this photo ??

  • i think he was a bit vain....but it appears he metamorphasized into an old woman

  • Really? Rembrandt is often regarded as an artist who painted himself with out vanity. Maybe you don't like his hats.

  • that was truly epic... i felt as if he was alive and MOVING... amazing amazing amazing - i thank you

  • An awesome video!

I would like to thank you to my friend nebrulla for sharing this video and to lemurheart for making this wonderful video.

  • I realy love this vidzzz

  • strepitoso

  • Thanks a million for sharing such an incredibly, absolutely awesome vid !

  • sobrecogedor. impressive.

  • Brilliant and inspirational art and the transformation done by contemporary technology... congratulation!

  • Very interesting. The morphing tells us a lot about how he approached painting his amazing self portraits. Good job.

  • Well done!!! Whats the music???

  • Breath of Light by String Theory

  • This is AMAZING!!

Yu have really brought him to life!!

    WELL DONE!!!!

  • Stupendo!

  • 1:22 is an absolutely incredible moment, like the camera is actually moving around him.

  • not to exclude the fact that he ages dramatically in that moment as well

  • One other thing - what a striking resemblance to the actor, Leo McKern, Rembrandt had as an older man (or the other way round) - shame he isn't around to play him. But then again, I've just remembered 'Lust for Life' with Kirk Douglas and Anthony Quinn, so maybe he has been saved...

  • A really wonderful video - actually adds to the portraits, which is an amazing feat. Everyone should see this. Thankyou.

  • That was amazing to see how Rembrant's view of himself evolved through the years! The morphing was excellent.

  • Excellent.

  • excelente...

  • very well done. I have created many morphs, and this takes a lots of work, especially when the head turns. I greatly enjoyed watching Rembrandt paint himself as the aged. A fine video, and interesting subject.

  • exceptional, complete with haunting music

  • exquisitely touching

  • Great Job!!!
