This is was the only part of the movie that actually made sense b/c she finally realized she was contradicting her point. She kept saying to do things for herself and not others but she was going through the wedding for others b/c everyone kept expecting it of her b/c of all the publicity when what she really wanted was Colin. I'm glad she finally realized that the ceremony was b/c of others' expectations and not hers - and she put a stop to it.

This movie does not contradict itself! She was never against men and marriage in the first place. She just didn't feel like she needed to settle with someone she wasn't in love with just for the sake of being married.

She set out to prove that you can be happy single if that's what life hands you and she fullfilled that in the end; by simply declaring she was happy with herself in a ceremony that just got out of hand.

And when life handed her the love of her life, she wanted that also.

As a guy 2-1/2 yrs from separatin from x-wife & havin friends push me 2 date b4 I was ready, I totally agreed w/ her at the beginning. But the plot lost me in the bar. It was plausible up2 there, then it went off in2 la-la land that could only happen in a movie.
