avid, squatting is using the ground for leverage and a great thing in the swing so I agree with you there. Pushing off the right foot laterally is what I'm referring to here, not vertically.
I kind of get what you mean but i feel that you have to push off your right foot. I agree that you dont want to push "past neutral" as you say....that would be a slide. BUT...you should push off and turn around the pivot of the left hip and leg....i belive ALL the power ion a golf swing is in your legs. Much like how Tiger and Anthony Kim "squat" on their downswings ....to explode through the ball using their legs. Interesting concept, but i respectfully disagree.
@sandwah9 and you can replace your hip and have back probs.....
