I'm so GLAD I never paid attention in school. I graduated with a C average from HS, I was on the dean's list at college most semesters and went on to get my masters in comp. sci.

The ONLY reason I graduated HS was it was back in the day that if you flunked the Regent's test you flunked the class, even if you had an A in the class. Not fair, right? But, the other side of that is that if you Passed the test, you passed the class, even if you had an F.

My daughter got in trouble for leaving school w/o permission & smoking cigarettes in the parking lot. The school placed her on probation & when she did it, again, they said she had to attend an "alternate" school for trouble makers. We immediately removed her from the school (she was 16) & enrolled her in a GED program. Along with her GED she received academic honors. Now tell me these diplomas or GEDs mean much if a 16yr old can pass the 4 yr equivalency test w/ distinction. Get your kids out.
