  • You cant depend on politicians.

  • this song is awesome

  • LMAO at this whole video, especially "senseless drum beats" @ 1:45

  • why are people calling him a one hit wonder? he gave us multiples.

    that's also what SHE said.

  • corny but funny

  • One of the sweetest guitar riffs ever!!

  • It was nice to turn on the radio in the early 80s and listen to various kinds of rock like this. There was such variation. I miss the variety of styles. Lately, it's like the whole world has been taken over by the borg from Star Trek. Thank you for the lyrics. This video is quite entertaining.

  • This song has to have one of the best guitar parts of any Rock and Roll tune.

  • Awsome saw Donna in concert years ago with Michale Stanley

  • WIN

  • Oh my god I didn't know Donnie Iris sang this song holy sheet I am only 40 or soon to be 41 I just found out he was the one who sang Ah Leah damn where the hell have I been.OK OK I'll blame it on all the weed that I had smoked during this time period.

  • @dreamkill1970 About the time you were born , Donnie had his first hit with "The Rapper " , when he was lead singer for The Jaggerz . He's now 67 and still rockin out :)

  • This version beats the h**** out of Slade's remake by a landslide!! I remember boppin' around the living room to this at full level, with my girlfriends, back in Jr. high! Donnie Iris kicks a** !!!

  • this is the first record i ever owned, love the song

  • I never knew who did this song. Guess I was a bigger Donnie Iris fan than I thought.

  • i never heard them til i went to see the clarks. i knew who they were but you know i never truly understood how good they were.

i am a pittsburgh everything fan so its nice that two of my favorite bands are from pittsburgh (the clarks and donnie iris)

  • song entered the top 40 on 2-13-82 staying there for 2 weeks and peaking at 37! if you like this try david and david "welcome to the boomtown"!

  • Great stuff, saw Donny open for UFO in Chicago at the Ampitheater. put on a great show.

  • Great party song. The old Wine Cellar, wild, wild women. Ooh that smell.

  • OMG!! I had totally forgotten this!! He had some pretty good music out in the early 80's...I still remember going to the roller rink and skating with Ah Leah playing.

  • Donnie Iris had his own thing going. Very different.

  • LOL: After all this time, it's still relevant: "You can't depend on politicians...you can't depend on superstition...NO!" Donnie (the Man, the Myth, the Legend) -- you ROCK, man!

  • donnie is in no way forgotten. he just put on a hell of a show yesterday to a screaming throng of fans. the old man still sounds great after all of these years.

  • im a teenager now but i really wish that i was one in the eighties

my ma thinks im crazy for listening to 80's but i think shes crazy for not listening to the 80's

  • HEY! LOVE IS LIKE A ROCK!

  • That was fun!

  • God fricken bless the 1980's & the great music in which it brought.

  • Amen to that!

  • SuperDuperFuckingExcellent

  • they used to play this at the roller rink and everyone would go completely f*#king nuts!

  • pretty cool

  • this does rock....so does "ah leah"...in the good days of MTV they played a live concert version of "love is like a rock"....

  • I remember that concert vid!

    Wish someone would post it!

  • Now this song takes me back!!

Thanks for posting such a great song!

  • They need to make rock music like this today.

  • I love the 80's!

  • You just rock pheloz!

  • I haven't heard this song in like 3 years! I forgot how much I love it! You just made my day!

  • ha! cool video

  • But I didn't hear it on the radio as often as I did with Ah Leah

  • Awesome-Awesome-Awesome, I can only imagine how much time you spent doing this! Because ive done similar things with laurel and hardy. This rocks man and keep it up! your fan!

  • I love the Gang Vocals "Love can rock you"....Very deep with some actual back bone to them. Most tracks with those type of vocals are thin, weak and distant...these vocals are right in your face...great mixing on this recording. Another good song on this cd is "My Girl".

  • Slade (seriously) done a very credible cover of this song on their final album from 1987. The opening track on "You Boyz Make Big Noize" (SALVOCD011) which has recently been remastered and released. Love Is Like A Rock is one of my favs on this album. Lots of bonus tracks on the new release and cheap as chips but not their best album. ;-)

  • This song sure kicks ass, it's one of the few songs I can listen to over and over again.

  • i actualy enjoy the drumbeat but i needed to lighten the vid up a bit eh?

  • Senseless Drum Beat... A bit harsh!

Thanks, I'd not heard the original before. ;-)

  • The original? Is there a cover? I'd like to hear it.

  • thank you for watchign my video i love when ppl leave comments =)

  • OMG XDDDD HAHAHA

  • This is a great song, this song should've been as huge as "Ah! Leah!" and I prefer this one over "Ah! Leah!"

  • You said it!

  • This song was as HUGE as Ah!Leah! MTV played the shit out of it.
