  • Check out Gavroche in the 10th anniversary concert (his name is Adam Sanders or something like that), a cockeny british accent goes really well with the character for some reason

  • @krazypenish I love the TAC. :D

  • God, who would kill a little kid like that, just in cold blood?

  • Waaaaah!

  • NO GAVROCHE CAN'T DIE!!!

  • :'( waaaa! my baby!

  • i played the role of gavroch a few years ago lol

  • i need to watch all of this!!!

  • Thank-you for posting :)

  • Dude, Sailor, can I make a request? I really wanted to her him do the Little People scene, could you post it please? I can't really trade it for anything :/

  • Braden best Gavroche ever!

  • where can you get a bootleg of the original broadway cast video?

  • Danny Greene, played it in the 1998 UK tour, and then went on to play it in the west end the following year! he was amazing! i cant find any videos on here, i have one and will put it on as soon as i get hold of it!

  • no matter who plays him, i cry everytime. :(

  • nick was like 10 times beter

  • To all those people who hate Nick Jones as Gavroche: I am NOT a fan of the Jonas brothers, they are a rubbish band. HOWEVER, Nick seems to be quite a good child broadway star so maybe rock isn't his genre and he should stop it and resume his career as a broadway star.

  • @powergirl07 hes back in les ad marius

  • @powergirl07 Lol, if you WERE a fan of the Jonas Brothers, you WOULD know that Nick had just finished his run in the West End as 'Marius' and he is starring in the 25th Anniversary DVD "Live at O2" as well :)

  • @rachel1161979 I know and some time I should make a video commenting on it.

  • woah, my comment got 26 thumbs up.... yay (:

  • Braden Danner is kind of perfect in the role.

And I think that Nick Jonas did a great job, too. And I am neither blind nor deaf, nor death. I think a lot of people hate Nick because he rose to whiny voice superstardom, but he was a great child stage actor and had a very strong voice.

  • My personal favorite Gavroches have been Nicholas Jonas, Andrew Hoeft, Stephen Scarpulla, Braden Danner, and Brian D'Addario. But I have nothing against any other Gavroches. They're all talented kids who have worked hard on the show.

  • I think my schools Gavroche is BETTER!!!!!!!! I watched the performance last night!

  • whats the name of the song he sings?

  • @MrCharliemk1 It's called Little People

  • Great photo

  • i love it i mean the musical(in australia perth)

  • gasp! i'm still readin the book!!! ahhh

  • i already read it just keep reading it

  • I like how everyone's all like, "AW! POOR BABY!" And he's, like, 34 now XD

  • @EmmaOnTheSpot he's 18

  • @superdealkiowa2009t2

Braden Danner?! But...that's impossible! This was in 1986 (more or less)! Unless you're kidding around...in which case I'd be kinda embarassed ;-)

  • @EmmaOnTheSpot yeah sorry i thought you were talking about Nick Jonas at first, then after i replyed i realized you were talking about Nick

  • For sure the best Gavroche I have ever seen.. Braden Danner was the first in the U.S and the best.

  • okay, seriously, this was the saddest part of les mis. gavroche!! T.T. i cried soo much. lol.

  • lol mee too! even though ive seen it 3 times, i cried the 3rd time! and i knew it was coming!

  • :( :(

  • i cried when he died in the musical. :( one of my favorite characters!

  • gahhh we jsut performed this play and everytime Gavroche died the whole cast backstage including me was balling our eyes out!

    i love Gavroche!!

  • i h8 how in my play he got shot like 4 times.

  • whatever happened to braden danner?

  • that kids so cute!

  • i used to have the biggest crush on gavroche i bawled like a baby when he died

  • 0:01

  • i agree with

    Kissmeindarainx0

i think he had the best voice

i wish there was some videos of nick jonas death scene as Gavroche

  • there used to be some videos of nick on this account, but they were deleted :(

    he was great though!

  • is that picture of brian d'addario? and can sumome plzzzz tell me wat this play is about and who gavroche is? and is brian talking in this video also? sumone plz answer my questions!

  • Play is from a book called Les Miserables. It takes place during the French revolution. It takes stories from a handful of characters struggling through these times and mostly follows a theme of redemption. Gavroche was basically a kid living on the streets and joining the fight in the revolution.

  • it dosent take place in the french revolution..... my sister told me that and she read the long version thats like a trillion pages long. Its from some other random war thing in france....she always gets mad when people say it was the french revolution.....

  • umm...i was just telling you so you dont get it wrong. YOu dont have to curse at me! not very respectful! I didn't mean to offend you or make you mad or anything. i was just stating that your information was not correct. Jez if you get mad at someone correcting your mistakes, then how do you LIVE in school? once again, i do not mean to be rude. Just sayin.

  • Actually, it's not exactly a war, it was the riots of 1832 ;) (students trying to throw down the "new" monarchy, the same way it had be done at the French Revolution in 1789 ; but they fail, because they don't get the support they were execting from the people of Paris.)

What may be confusing is that Gavroche says (in the French version at least) : "a soldier told me "who's coming here ?", I said 'the French Revolution !'"...

  • yeah the book is like 1400 pages but i do the same thing your sister does because i ahte it when ppl say its the french revolution because its just another random war within that time period!

  • gavroche is a 10 year old boy who gets shot like most people in the play does

  • What an intense scene, I've heard it hundreds of times and I've never been able to make it through without tensing up!

  • I'm complitely in love with Gavroche and With les miserables.Braden did an awesome wori..I wish I could see the performance!

  • just looking at his expression in the picture is gutwrenching. what an amazing ability- to portray such intense emotions at such a young age.

  • Oh my gosh, I KNOW! So sad...

  • DUDES.

stop fighting over who's a btter Gavroche, Nick Jonas or Braden. SERIOUSLY. it isn't worth a fight, we just have different opinions. just comment on the beautiful play of Les Miserables, NOT who played who better.

    freaking 3-year-olds, i swear...

  • FINALLY SOMEONE WITH SOME SCINCE les mis is the most amazing play ever and they were both good!

  • HONESTLY !

i thought i was the only one with sense like that...

  • LOL! I'm sorry, but the freaking 3-year-old part was awesome man! Anyway, I agree 100%! Who gives a damn who played who? Besides, they're just little kids, they're not going to be perfect!

  • haha, SERIOUSLYYY.

    it's like... FUNNY. xD

  • I agree with the sentiments about not bickering, but I do believe Adam Searles owned this role.

  • Braden Danner was the best Gavroche in America, but he didn't hold a candle to Adam Searles.

  • Thankyou. I respect your opinion. & considering I got 8 thumbs up... I'm CLEARLY not the only one not acting like a 3-year old. :) Good to know.

  • Personally I think Nicholas Jonas did the best in the role.

  • Lol really? woww.

  • I respect your opinion.

  • @randomxxx35 well said!

  • @randomxxx35 I have NEVER agreed with someone more!

  • @randomxxx35 Well said :-)

  • @randomxxx35 just because it's a good play doesn't mean no one sucks at performing it. get over yourself.

  • @supermelon928 get over myself!? hahahahaha. whaaaaaat. that remark is not appropriate at all for what i was saying. nowhere in that post did i express cockiness or vain persona of any sort, so, i advise you to come at me with a better-suited "attack" if you will, towards whatever upset you so much in my original post.

  • Everyone is talking about Nick's performance in the death scene, but I can't find it anywhere. Can someone point me in the right direction?? Thank you.

  • "Nick Jonas on Broadway" and "screach"

  • He is VERY good!!

  • :'''( whywhywhywhywhywhywhy did Gavroche have to die?????? WHY??? omgomgomg i <3<3<3 gavroche. BTW nick jonas was the worst gavvie ever, Braden is awesome =] so is Gabriel though (tenth anniversary concert) but of course the original Gavroche [[in america]] rules all :) go braden. Adam Searles wasn't bad either, though. But Nick was bad. REAL bad. :( it kinda scared me. but, thats just me.

    Love, BellaSwan89642

  • Gavroche's death was amazing. When I saw this show (Not this exact one, I saw it done by professionals... In fact I know the kid who played Gavroche) I jumped at all 3 shots, and felt so bad when he's almost done with his song, and he just dies.

  • yeah i saw the show like ten years ago too wh en i was still in high school, the '98 cast w as pretty good I don't remember who was in it and couldn't find clips of it on here but i d ont think i'll forget how the crowd went nuts laughing when mrs. thenardier comes out like 'i used to dream that i would meet a prince b ut have you seen whats happened since?' i wish i could get a dvd of this show thats not the 10th anniversary its good but the mics get an noying in the way
  • yeah even though you know they're just actors

no one gets hurt and they all come back on th

e stage after the finale it is still enough t

    o make you jump ITA.

  • This is great. Wish I could go back in time and see the show and especially Braden.

  • yeah i wish i could see it again i actually wo

re out the CD i had same with miss saigon i di

dn't get to actually see that one but again i

    wore out the cd.

  • Braden was the most awesome Gavroche. He originated the role in the USA and set the bar for all those that followed. I was able to see him in person in NYC and he was unbelievable. Thanks for posting this on youtube. I can now watch it whenever I want. Bravo!!!!!

  • I'm here to confirm Braden as the best American Gavroche, lol. I have an aunt who has lived in NY almost all her life and she said the OBC (except for Marius) was truly the best Les Mis cast she'd ever seen and she's seen the show at least seven times over the past 22 years. She said Colm was beyond amazing. She also said Maguire upstaged David Bryant constantly and it was a little sad (and funny) to see poor Marius owned by a better actor who doesn't even get his own song XD

  • i know he's trying to be dramatic but he didnt make an beliveable performance when he was getting shot when nick did but im sorry i was wrong nick and braden are both equally good but i just liked nicks perfomance of the deatch of gavroche better.

and its sad that you cant admitt that nick was good for his age because he was.

you need to suck your moms dick you fat ass

    where ever in broadway?

do you know the proper why to act?

    =/

  • quit spazzing, asshole, u need to go suck ur mom, O WAIT! u already did, bitch. admit? theres nothing to admit except that nick jonas is a gay asswipe who cant act worth no shit. ya, i can act, i just got the lead female in this very play. this is so much more believable than nick's preformance because, well, for one thing, braden isnt gay.

  • Did you really just use characters to insult me? Grown-up Cosette, darling. Just in case you think you can use it against me.

  • death? deff?

  • Haha, no I believe she meant deaf. :P

  • Did you just call me DEATH? Bahahaha! She really did! No, darling. I don't think Nick was right for that part in any way, at all. I don't see how everyone thinks so. But I guess you can have you're opinion. Unles, of course, you're DEATH! Bahaha!

  • oooooohhhh yeah I just you death AND blind.I'm sure i'm not death nor blind 'cause if I were blind would I really be able to type back all these...OF coruse not!Actually your not really blind etiher 'cause how would you be tpying all this!

But your are right the part was kinda not him(Nick).

  • Sweetie, do you really not get why I'm laughing at 'death'? Bahahaha.

  • Nope, not much, not much at all!

  • Honey, it's not 'death' it's 'deaf'. Death is when you die, !

  • i no rite! he had such a powerful voice when he was young!! he has a gr8 voice now, but it was SOO good for the young kid that he was.=]

  • The best is the first. Go Braden.

  • I agree. It's Braden.

  • WHY GAVVIE WHY?!?!?!?!?! *sobs hysterically*

  • i love this kid! but could you please put up the original Waltz of treatery and the bargain? You know, the part where colm sings, "Now her mother is with god, Fantines suffering is over?" I have been looking for that clip for a musical comparison for a college class! Thanks so much!

  • Awesome, they really should have put this song on the OBC. (I have never heard Colm, Michael, or the Marius I don't like (IDK his name) sing this song)

  • I mentioned Braden at Les Mis rehearsals today and me and Ivan had a little conversation about it.

  • I love Gavroche!!! Its so heart wrentching they couldn't help him!

  • That made me cry :-(. He's so good!
