  • ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! BRILLIANT SONG. WONDERFUL MUSICIANS. WHAT MORE IS THERE TO SAY!!

  • The song's about a half-step lower in key, but still sounds great! I love watching artists sing and picking out the individual vocal parts I couldn't quite "nail down" when trying to learn a song from a studio version.

Also - playing and singing on a a 10x6 stage (probably a makeshift music store platform) in front of most of you, whose parents probably remember the song, can be a bit disarming!

  • that sucks live. sounds off key

  • @thecrackfoxxxxx they altered the tone a bit, thecrackfoxxxxx. But still a good performance. REPLY BACK.

  • DAMN !! where have 17 years went????

  • @shaunsstuff79 They're old.

  • @kimv020887 not really ! theyre not even 40 yet !! thank god for bands like this that are still doin their thing cuz without em music would totally suck nowdays ! itd just be a bunch of beyonce bubble gum crap and bubble gum commercial country !!

  • @shaunsstuff79 MUSIC does SUCK nowadays, in fact shaunsstuff79, I'm 24 and I hate today's music and I only listen to 70s/80s/90s and early 00s (2000-2003) music. But good thing bands like Toad the Wet Sprocket, Metallica, Iron Maiden, are still performing. REPLY BACK.

  • @kimv020887 lol well not all music today is bad !! theres some underground stuff thats good independent bands and stuff like that but as for commerccial stuff yeah it sucks lol !! thats cool u like classic stuff tho u should check out my page u might like it ?? ok cya ltr

  • @shaunsstuff79 well that's true. Ice-T, rapper and actor said that UNDERGROUND music is better than today's commercial and mainstream. Plus, UNDERGROUND music has real emotion and most importantly, real music. I only listen to 70s/80s/90s and early 00s (2000-2003) music. Mainstream music went downhill after 2003 ended. But yes there is UNDERGROUND and INDEPENDENT music. REPLY BACK.

  • This is the song from my childhood. Real music, a breathe of fresh air from today's garbage. BTW why Toad lowered the key here?

  • @kimv020887 It's probably because they can't hit the higher registers. It's reasonable, it's hard to hit those high notes with the same accuracy when you're older.

  • @aclockheart well I heard the music video and the tone is different.

  • Looks like a bunch of normal dudes...just with a lot of talent

  • This great work! I love Toad.

  • they are singing like they are all on laxatives

  • Love "Brother" & "All I Want", but Glen has lost his range at a fairly young age. They play both of those songs (and probably everything else) in lower keys nowadays, typically a whole step (2 half-steps) down, i.e., Bb instead of C for this song. Their guitars are even tuned down from E-A-D-G-B-E to D-G-C-F-A-D so they can play these in the original key positions. Sad indeed, and I agree age takes no prisoners, but at 40??

  • Great !!! Cheer from Brazil !!!

  • i had this on cassette back in 93 !! my god where have 18 years went lol

  • @shaunsstuff79 this song was released in 1991, bro. Its my childhood song.

  • @kimv020887 ur right my bad this was from 91 i get this and spin doctors pocketful of kryptonite mixed up always have 4 sum reason but i had both on cassette back then lol

  • @shaunsstuff79 hey spin doctors also had little miss can't go wrong and two princes.

  • This is a band that will always be relevant. Great music.

  • @MrBleacherbum1970 this is my fave 90s grunge song. What's yours, MrBleacherbum1970?

  • I will never get tired of this song. :)

  • Who are these old guys?

  • enjoyed it.!!!!!.to all those who said it sounded like shit..is every perfornance supposed to be epic?maybe they were hungover? maybe someone had the flu? your talking out your ass sounded fine to me

  • THANKS!!

  • The song's been played on a lower tone, it sounds so mellow, listen to the original one and you'll notice the difference.

  • @angrami I thought so ,I'm trying to play along with the original tuning and there's no way.thanks for the clarification.

  • The lead singer was basically a boy when they started. Weird how young he still looks.

  • this song is so good to hear!!

  • nothing's so loud as hearing when we lie

the truth is not kind and you've said neither am i

but the air outside so soft is saying everything

    everything....

  • i really like this song....

  • Ahh das Lied ist so toll! Voll der Ohrwurm.. <3

  • These guys look like they're heading to a tailgate party. Or maybe just came from one. Who would think they could get in front of the mic and do this? So nice.

  • Wow... this can't hold a candle to their previous recording. Still a good song though

  • Genius' all four.

  • True

  • saw these guys last week in VA Beach. absolutely amazing live band and a great, humble and wonderful group of guys

would love to see them make a new record some day. too bad they're not into the idea themselves :-(

  • the best

  • Great video Jonas! Great seeing you yesterday and of course TOAD was amazing!!!

  • I love the fact that these frat rockers are in cargo shorts and tees. Man this this bring me back.

  • This band still got what it takes, unique, harmonious and very talented. Wish Toad the wet sprocket made a big comeback and continued to make more records. Love this song, one of my favorite songs of all time.

  • Tuned down to a lower note...but still a damn good song. Looks like all oringal members.

    Feel....Take....Hold.

  • They sound good as hell. i wish they were still making records. this is one of my favorite songs!

  • This sounds like shit! They are playing it in the wrong key. Bullocks! Who the hell wants to hear this in some lower key.

  • love it!

  • Toad and Sister Hazel both have vocal blends to die for.

  • Sister Hazel- go back to the 90's hippy

  • Touche, king. You almost made the coffee come out of my nose. Best laugh I've had all week.

  • :) good sense of humor! too bad this guy lost his range

  • Sound as good as they do in studio. I remember these dudes from when I was about 11 or 12. Wish they'd head anywhere close to New Orleans.

  • I believed I was 11 or 12 when I first heard this song.

  • Damn dude... this song takes me back! I so wish I could see this band live, but they never come anywhere near Dallas. Hell, I'd even drive to OKC or Houston if need be...

  • glen phillips will be in dallas on 11/21

  • I remember these guys from when they were a garage band in SB. I remember that all their equipment was stolen from a storage unit right before a big tour.

They were the first band that my son (then in Jr Hi) and I both loved (that was in 1995).
