Heavens to Murgatroid! I greatly enjoyed watching this! THANK YOU, Jason, for uploading the whole movie! I recall being enthralled by it as a kid watching it on TV in the mid-60's.
this is one of the few memories i have of spending quality time with my dad, was watching movies like this! i hadn't seen it in years. thank you so much for posting it so i could re-live those memories!
I don't really understand the CGI haters. It wasn't very convincing at first; but it has progressed to the point where, depending on the merits of the artists and animators, the effect is one of complete reality and it's only going to get more and more realistic. The spaceships in Battlestar Galactica really look like they're moving through space, far more so than anything previously achieved with physical models and the multiple camera passes required to create the effect. The dragons in Harry
I just remembered: I was so young when I saw this movie for the first time, that I was confused by the fact that a different actor was playing Nemo. I thought: "Is that man supposed to be Nemo? That man can't be Nemo because he doesn't look anything like the man in 20,000 Leagues." What a cute memory!
Wooden acting, implausible plot and creatures that are obviously puppets, and it is still better and more fun than anything put out today!! CG effect may look more real but these great Harryhausen flicks FEEL real! God bless you Ray and R.I.P. Charles Schneer!
Excellent Movie---One of my favorites--I always wondered if Walt Disney gave a nod to this film as a worthy sequel to his great film "20.000 Leagues under the Sea". Thanks for posting--love it!
Thank you Jason for uploading this wonderful classic!!!!!I remember this from when i was still in grade school and have always loved the story:-)Thanks again!!!!!!
@Santanamex2 This is an adaption of the story. The book was like Robinson Crusoe. The movie was trying to capture the feel of: Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea! So a more Science fiction like story was formed! It gave us a more Som'bre Captain Nemo. He secretly helps the castaways, and like in the book dies in his Nautilus!
@funbrowsing ....Bernard Herman did the score for Day The Earth Stood Still,The Seventh voyage of Sinbad, Farenheit 451 and Journey to the Center of the Earth ( original ) . There is a CD entitle "The Fantasy Filmworld of Bernard Hermann" that contains the music from these movies that is excellent !
I have been wanting to watch this movie since 1961, when I was 6 years old, living on Guam Island. I missed it when it came to March AFB; I have occasionally thought of this movie throughout the years. On a hunch, I tried on YouTube; I found it!
Thank you for settling a 48 year-old desire of mine.
@dcfenrich54 This is a good thing even if the movie makers crab about copyrights so many movie watchers go out and buy the movie after seeing it here. So it is actuall good for them also.
wow tats a nice movie with full of adventure... Well, i am goin on such an expedition soon and i need a young gud lukin gal to accompany me. age betwn 20-25. if interested plz PM me. cheers ;) c u soon, Capt. Coorg!

When I was like 10 years old I found a book on the trash, "The Mysterious Island"
But in the book there was no women, and they should have a dog. The book was more interesting that this movie.
