  • hermosa cancion!!

    un privilegio escucharla!

  • fantastic emotional song. pls translate.

Where has this talent been hiding?

  • Translation of Bapa reads:

'Grief has taken hold of me for my father when the sun sets, oh beloved father / Crying and crying when the sun goes down, My mind there at Bekulnjura, Oh beloved father / Two Gumatj ladies crying, ancestor boss ladies Dhuwandjuka and Daylulu, when the sun sets my there at the place Gunyanjara'.

Blind from birth, Geoffrey is a former member of Yothu Yindi and now with the Saltwater Band, he sings the songs of his country in his debut solo album "Gurrumul".

  • Thx for the translation. The words fit the melody. It is a sad song but an excellent one.
