Questioning her parents' history was likely something discussed in the pre-interview ;). The way Ellen framed Meester's upbringing was really positive, so I'm not sure why people think she was being rude.

Awww poor thing, she's a strong brave sweet girl who's obviously been through a lot of hard times. She has this ability to demonstrate vulnerability so well, I understand a lot of ppl prob write off Gossip Girl as a soap opera but its so much more than that - it has a lot of special moments. I reckon they should've shown the scene where she talked Chuck down from jumping off the roof of the building, that was a very touching moment and awww i'm just so glad that she is where she wants to be <3
