I dont know what to tell you. We live in Mobile, but have property on Little River Canyon on Lookout Mountain. I had been told that the mountain was covered with debri from the tornados, but I was thinking the one in Rainsville just west of Fort Payne. I was shocked to find a check from 111 miles away. It is a very old (1989) canceled check, one that was probably stored away somewhere in a home. We are glad that every one is OK.
@Steve35967 You don't happen to have a picture of it, do you? Or could you take one? I called them earlier and they would be very interested to see it.

I have a cabin on Lookout Mountain outside Fort Payne Alabama. I went up there this past weekend to check for damage being they had a tornado in Rainsville. In my driveway at the cabin was an old canceled check from Ann and Morris Issac in Pleasant Grove. I entered their address off the check into my Tom Tom and it said it was 111miles away. I know if I found a personal item 111miles away, they probably didnt fair to well. We pray that every one survived.
@Steve35967 HOLY COW! I am related to them! They are my great aunt and uncle! And they are alright. The house appears to be a total loss, but they are fine. Please send me a message, because I would love to get more info.
Thank you for sharing. I am a PG native (grew up in Highland Forest and my folks still live there). I now live in Dallas and haven't been able to see this in person yet.

Fan road is the worst in my opinion. I walked there 30 mins after the tornado passed through fan road. It was so bad I can't even explain.
