  • I don't believe in organized religion.

When I listen to this, I hear it.

    God is in the music.

    Find it where you want.

If you know anything about music, you know this is done VERY well. No computers to fix your pitch, no 2nd, 3rd or 4th takes. Flat or not, they are human and this kicks ass.

  • You guys are all queers arguing about this. Who gives a crap? It's not like one of you airheads are going to admit that you are wrong.

  • no one in this group was singing below their pitch.

i dont' know what you are hearing when you say that.

    you're wrong/

    they're definitely on pitch.

    and perfectly i might add.

  • Wtf? What are you, high??

  • I was just on this guys myspace and he has passed. Very sad...this is a beautiful version!

  • good singing.

  • RIP Dave. I am in chills right now. This song will NEVER sang the same again.

  • i love this song, but does anyone know if anyone ever did it faster? cuz the organist at my church plays it faster and in my mind, its better.

  • "As He died to make men holy, let us die to make them free"

    Forgotten words today....

  • I hear you, and what a shame it is that people for a big part have no idea what the awesome messages of some of these songs are.

  • This is an amazing version.

  • MAGNIFICENT!!!

    God bless you ~

  • every year*

  • OMG!! i love this ... my SMALL town of about 600 people, Fairview- West VIrginia, has a 4th of july celebration everywhere when about six or seven thousand folks come into town and I can't wait.... this song get me ready to go!!! ... we are going to win so many souls for christ this year..please pary for noah's ark A/G church as we help he gorly to march on! THANK YOU FOR THE POST!

  • good song, but the soprano in this post of the video sings the end note a whole step lower than the other soprano in another post of this video.

  • Uh, bimmerboy87 - are you crazy - listen to the Soprano again - she's not a whole step lower - clean the wax out dude!

  • uhh, pitcarin7, im not crazy, and perhaps u need to work on your ear training because she is at least a half step lower. unless u've heard the song in the key that its supposed to b in or have the sheet music and have other videos to compare it to, you cant say anything. the soprano sings a high "C" at the end of the song when she is supposed to sing a high "D flat". I have the sheet music, i should know. u should listen to other videos of this song and u'll hear what im talking about.

  • Well bimmerboy87 - I do have the music - know the music well. The group obviously flatted a bit. The chord is correct at the end - in other words, she's where she's supposed to be. In a perfect world, where the group doesn't drop in pitch, then she would end up on a D flat. The issue is not whether she's supposed to be singing a D flat or a high C - it's where the group is. If she sung a D flat, she wouldn't be with the group would she?

  • ur totally right. she is where she needs to be. the entire group is at least a half step lower than where they should b. but u know what, they're an a cappella group and they r human and not perfect so that does happen from time to time, even w/ the amazing voices of liberty. those songs r very difficult to sing.

  • No matter what either of you say, you're both wrong... because she's a SOPRANO!! It doesn't matter what you think, as long as she thinks she did a good job. And if she thinks she did a bad job, just tell her she looked pretty doing it and all will be right with the world again.
