  • what is the name of the song ??

  • great job im currently working on a model of myself for a game i was wondering what program you recomend maya or 3ds max they look pretty much the same but yeah thanks for the help

  • @ColteTori maya is better for Animating than 3Ds. But Maya is still a very powerful modelling tool.

  • wow...how long time you work with maya?

  • @Lilcolaperrr

at the time I modeled this I worked with Maya for just about a year

  • i bet that fat asshole is u, LOL

  • how do you import a image on it?

  • I personally like modelling by extruding the edges rather than cutting into the primitive shape. It's just easier for me. In the end, as long as the moseld looks right, and it's within a time limit, it doesnt matter what approach one takes, yeah?

  • hiper complicaçãozinha

  • hiper complicadted

  • wie bin ich hier hergekommen?

  • the model has a long way to go...I think if you had a better side view it would come out a lot cleaner. your topology also needs alot of work...nice try and keep practicing...

  • @rjmanoa

Oh believe me I know the model was far from perfect, but I created this model over a year ago. My modeling methods have improved since then. Check out my channel to see my human anatomy sculpt in ZBrush.

  • this is really good. I just model my head for my class and i was wondering if you can take a look at it and give me from pointers.

  • @systemdown124

sorry it took so long to respond, if its not too late I will take a look at yours and see if I can give you some advice

  • can you tell me the name of the song

  • @Djenkov

Its called "teardrop" by massive attack. Its much better without the lyrics though

  • You have proportion distortion, non uniform polgogons scale (bad for texturing & also bring some troubles to animation)

    Good luck

  • hello

it is a very useful video, can any body help me on how to desigh a house if i have the front image of the house,,please it is urgent

  • @tawakul2010 I can help you, I'm creating a house myself. Just message me with whatever you need help with :>)

  • Massive Attack... nice

  • also you should definitely use the real song "teardrop" by massive attack instead of a loop of the intro... its a great song, "check out risingson" n "false flags" too ... massive attack has some deep music

  • if only you could shoot pool as well as you 3d model ... haha nice work kerr

  • why dont u download your work n give us the link so that we can downloaded it in *mb format

  • That's pretty cool looking. Maya 2011 has a rendering thing where it'll try and compile the pics you have by itself. It's not very good but it's fast :)

  • 5:12 BUNNY

  • Not bad. When working on the eyes, add a sphere to let you correctly apply volume to the eye lids, typically you will want to extrude inward and then out along the curvature of the eyeball. The edge loops (along the neck and the sides of the head) should either be terminated or their flow diverted in the other direction to cancel them out. All the above mentioned are simply ways of producing better topology and have nothing to do with designing. Design wise this is a good model. cheers :)

  • you can get maya 2010 for free?

  • Just PERFECT!

  • thanks for the vid.

helped me alot on my 3d modeling project.

    one question tho..

did you instance the second side of the face for modeling, then delete it and mirror the geometry?

or are you sculpting the whole object?

    thanksman

  • @jedisnow

I actually just modeled one side of the face, and mirrored it from time to time to see if everything looked good on both sides. I dont really care for using instancing when modeling in Maya. I find it just as easy to mirror the geometry.

Since you dont know how to provide constructive feedback I will not take your response seriously. I am not going to engage in any sort of war of words over youtube with you because that is pointless. I will say this....if you are in fact a modeling student, I think it would do you well to learn how to be respectful with your peers when you take part in critique

  • @Kingunreal I don't see any maya videos you've uploaded? You should be embarrassed to call yourself a student of this trade, if this is how you respond to other artists work. Oh, and nice video dude! :D Keep up the good work.

  • I am doing lessons for beginners in Maya. Who cares subscribe.

  • pliiiiiz i need a tutorial for beginers & when i say beginers it means a very very beginer one so pleaaazze

& for the video man that's awesome

  • @kaguashi

    if u are starting now

then first do some basic models and tutorials before going into character modeling

go to my channel and check my rickshaw

that was my first model and i had only started to use maya from 1 week and i didnt do it from any tutorial. now im a bit more advanced and i can move onto character modeling

so stick with the basics for a while or you will find these tutorials fiendishly difficult

  • Great! Good job man!

  • @Joki266

    much appreciated.

  • I'm still waiting for the day that one ofy ou awesome maya users make a REAL tutorial, where you explain what your useing...etc i can putin images in maya, but i fuckign can't figure out how to move them away from the middle of the grid in my perspective view... so fuckign frustrating. secondly how do you add more gridds and how to you just put extra grids on when your modeling in just side or front panel...

  • Salut

    Bordel t'es trop Fort

    Bravo

  • go into the window you want say right and front window, go up to the "view" --->"image plane"---> "import image" then all you need to do is change the attributes in the attribute editor.

    Sabs

  • you need to show how to insert your picture

  • go to material editor click on the diffuse box go to bitmap then select the pic u want
