No wonder Mr Atkinson wont let me have an R18+ or an X18+. I'm thankful we have the MA15+. I don't agree with his view on this at all, but when I'm stuck with the stereo-type of gamers who carry on like a 5 year old's who's mum did not buy them a lolly at the shop. To true the current system of no R18+ and a lenient MA15+ does more to hurt children than help them.
To put it simple here are the reasons for an R18+ rating
1:it restores the rights of gaming adults is Australia witch the OLFC states should be allowed
2:would allow many MA15+ games to move to the more appropriate R18+ category
3:deals with the issue of stopping kids from playing adult games rather than Michael Atkinson's "it cant be done approach" which is absurd for a politician.
@Zeldafanatic1 i agree with you 100% i think australia needs to wake up and catch up to the rest of the world cause not having the R rating causes kids to play games that arent suitable for them and it makes us aussies look like pussies which whe're not. one thing that i'll never work out is how mr atkinson has soooo much power over other general attorneys it makes no sense we need our R rating for games fast

This is the only way we would ever have a reasonable conversation because what ever we say on TV or on the radio would just be taken out of context by the sensationalist media who are only in it for the newsworthy information.

Also it might be worth to mention of the X18+ rating because the X18 rating is banned from all states for films.
Also this helps to note that games like Rapelay will never be sold commercially in Australia regardless of Mr Atkinson's opinion that an R18+ rating for games might do so.

Look at how Muslims are portrayed in the news media and also on A Current Affair.
It is for those reasons why I try to avoid watching the news and only listen to the Sport and Weather.
Because no matter what, there is always going to be bad news, and the smallest minority who speaks the loudest and crazy get their voice heard because it sells the news.
And most of us who are reasonable sell news at all.
