This documentary is so full of crap, it isn't funny. Diamonds are strong?! They're hard! The Airbus tail fell off while accelerating?! The tail fell off because the pilot what changing the direction every 5 seconds or so at high speeds! This thing is worse than wikipedia! :D
@n987 Easy fix! Call USAF and have them do low altitude passes with the C-5A Galaxy.
Wake turbulence will be the least of their worries :P noise and vibrations and pollution would be their headaches, and after a few months, they will be at the Airbus offices: "Please extend the runway and bring the 380 and save us from the Galaxy torture!" :D
When they transport the parts on the road, wouldn't it be better to build a special road just for Airbus so they don't have to pass through any villages, and so it is wide enough for all the parts to be transported without any worries and risks?
Boeing need to bring another version of the Concorde that is more efficient. Or partner with Airbus to build a new version of this aircraft. It will not cost as mush as the A380 program
