THIS is exactly how Mimi is supposed to be portrayed!! I love this performance! Amazing! Every emotion in this song is so real. Right from her entrance she looks so drugged up! Then at 2:22 when she has a sad reminiscent moment of her past, the instant change of emotion at 2:36 is done so perfectly that you can really see her trying to subside her sadness with the line "So let's find a bar..." Mimi is a sad character and I have never seen the role portrayed so beautifully!

I love this. She isn't drunk, she's on heroine, which for once we are able to see in her portrayal of the character rather than when it is only ever stated in the dialogue. Plus, the little vocal variations rock. SHE rocks!

I think that was what the actor and director were going for. It is very different, but still hot! I love how they kept the spirit of RENT and the spirit of the character intact, while changing it up a bit. Most international versions of 'Out Tonight' make me want to cut off my ears and scratch out of my eyes. But not this one :)

This version is awsome! Mimi is not just singing, but acting as she really is: a drug adict streaper. I always thought most Broadway versions, even the German version and the movie showed a "kindergarden" version of the reality Larson tried to transmit in Rent. But this version really rescues that reality and gives a new dimension to their romance. We don't only have a nice girl dancing on stage, but a drunk or drugged streaper living in Hell trying to make someone to love her. Wow!
