But as far as music goes, the term "emo" is used to coin a genre of music, known as "emotional hardcore" which is an offshoot of hardcore punk, I think. So using the term "emo" as a way to describe something simply expressing emotion is technically incorrect. But I guess you just have to roll with the times since the definition is apparently changing.
