  • thinking of getting these but i cant see a review for it on the sa80, plus are the magazines reliable in combat situation? wouldnt wanna be busting into a sangha and it freeze up on me.

looks impressive though, i could refer this product to alot of people as they go into attacks (non live firering exercises) and raiding rooms, take 2 shots and then they're out of ammo, bad drills i know but this could help conqour that...

  • How did he get that red laser beam to come out of his eye like that @ 0:30 ?

Seriously though, CAA makes some pretty bad ass stocks. Got a Blackhawk knoxx low recoil specop on one tactical shotgun and putting a CAA with cheek riser on my other soon

  • I believe the Japanese actually pioneered this in WWII with the Type 96...so it's not the only countdown magazine in the world, but it's about time someone made one for the AR15/M4

  • the Israeli army are considering replacing all the magazines with a "countdown magazine".

  • the israeli army is now considering buying this magazine for all of their guns.

  • blood thirsty nation.

  • I got 1 to try it out. Seems like a good mag the numbers on the side show 2 number when its loaded and its the top number that shows how many rounds are left. Was hoping for only a single number but at least it works. THe bottom mag counter has numbers buts its way off i guess you can only use the color coding. Cant wait to try it out at the range it looks nice.

  • just bought two of them and tried them out, they are way cool, looks great in the gun too. People bitch about "not having time to check if you were in combat" but honestly you can see the color alone without even having to go out of your way! a mili seconds glance gives you the number too, awesome mag.

  • I might buy one for the novelty of it, but I doubt we'll ever see these in Afghanistan. I can't imagine all the little moving part being able to function in sandy conditions. Seems like there is a lot that can go wrong with these in general.

  • Looks like the P-Mag may take 2nd place to this. A mag with a visible counter is a GREAT thing to have for LE/SWAT duties. The ability to instantly determine your remaining round count is a nice capability to have in a gunfight.

  • What happened to this magazine? I still have yet to hear any updates on projected completion, or if I will be getting a refund.

  • These magazines are now being produced by EMA Tactical and will be shipping very soon! We expect to have them in stock for sale next week.

  • Obvious PMAG ripoff with a cheesy counter. Lame.

  • I have a few CAA parts on my 870 tactical shotgun and DPMS Panther lite M4 and they have TOP NOTCH stuff. I trust anything with their name on it. I want to buy a couple of these mags NOW!!!

  • CAA=top notch? HAHAHAHAHA

  • Do you OWN any of thier suff? I do and it has always worked for me and the fit and finish is amazing. They also have wonderful customer service.

  • Cool, just like the Space Marine's Pulse rifle? How much unforeseen wear & tear does running it over put on the magazine. Run it over on solid concrete so all of the weight of the vehicle actually presses down on it, because if you're gonna use pointless gimmicks to sell product you may as well do something impressive. I prefer product fabricated in the USA (economical reasons) I know the Magpul Magazines are fabricated in the USA.

  • OK... Prove to me its as GOOD as a Magpul PMAG, or even better, and i'll BUY!!!!!

  • Quite a few folks are quick to bash y'all on the internet. Personally, your gear has worked flawlessly on my weapons. I will continue to do business with you folks!!

  • Kris...please tell me there coming out with a 7.62 ak mag soon!

  • Nothing in development for 7.62 yet, but CAA's always making new products. I'll keep you updated!

  • Hey Kris...why have you taken the CDmag off the website? I thought these were going to be an item for sale?

  • The price is very fair- i like the fact you can just see how many rounds you got left, and at glance you know which is the better mag to grab- by the color code.

  • i hope they become avilable soon

  • NICE- Finally a real round counter. Cant wait till i see them at the shop. With the way things are I'm glad there's more gear showing up.

  • i'm sold on this mag

  • It says it's lightweight, but doesn't really give an actual weight, even on the website. How heavy is it in relation to the regular stock magazines? I'm sure since you can run this thing over with a truck it's probably a little heavier, but I wasn't sure by what.

  • Yeah well after my light with a pressure switch broke it was your ar mount one.. I emailed you guys like 5 times still no repliy ...I mean shit yeah it cost less then 50.00 I know your busy but i am only 30 miles away I would have brought it down .....

  • I'll send you a message regarding this, we'll get things sorted out.

  • That is totally awesome and I would buy it, but whats the MSRP?

  • $24.99

  • Seems fair. A USGI mag is about $18, so the extra $7 is worth it.

  • Sorry, one more question, lol. Does CAA have any plans to make a countdown mag for the AK-47/74?

  • From what I was told, it's not something that they're currently working on. CAA is always releasing new products and ideas. Keep updated by visiting our website, the newest products generally appear on the frontpage

  • Also, how does the counter work? From the video it seemed like you have a roll with numbers on it in there. Or is it electronic?

  • You got it! It's basically like a tape measure inside the mag. It's in there pretty well, and disassembling wont interfere with the countdown mechanism.

  • Ah, thanks. I'm thinking about putting in an order, since I'm assuming you're probably already swamped as it is.

  • I was thinking of ordering some of these from the site. Are they actually in stock or are you guys on back order? What do you guys think of our current political situation affecting the availability of these mags in the near future?

  • As of right now, they are expected in March.

As for availability, I'd think anything that has to do with the firearm industry will be much more in demand! Especially with our mags as not many companies make countdown magazines. We have seen an increase in demand with all of our products.

  • Another product designed to solve a non-existent problem. If you are in combat you have no reason to check round count, and if you've been doing a lot of shooting a tactical reload is in order anyways. Determining which mag has more rounds in a pouch is not needed, as partial mags never go back in a mag pouch, they go elsewhere, ONLY full mags go in pouches. You only go for your partial mags once all your full ones are depleted... and in the heat of combat you won't look for round counters.

  • @ke7erq

You're right, under pressure and in battle there's no time to take a look. Think of this as a convince then. You may not have to, but if you wanted to... you could. Say after you use a few magazines, and you have a few partials you want to merge. This will help you determine which magazine to unload the rounds from and which to load the rounds into.

  • You make good points but keep in mind these are available to civilians as well, I know I wouldn't mind having a handy ammo counter on my mags. And just because it may or may not be practical in combat doesn't matter, they make them because they can. Everyone likes new gadgets, first comes the countdown mag, soon all weapons will come with their own ammo displays like in FPS games.

  • An interesting mag. CAA normally has quality products, so I'm looking forward to seeing this one closer.
