i love the color name of my rover 75 british racing green 3 ... i bought it not long ago ... a week to be precise ... 210.000 km on board not sure they are real... maybe more buy my god is it fast and silent and steady too i was amazed it was acting like a new car... and i live in romania and everyone know how rubbish roads we have... all i can say if i made some other choice rather than this ... i would killed myself
My 75 Conn SE is in tempest grey LEF. It is six years old, I love it and, as most owners will tell you, there is nothing out there that comes any where close. The comment about the owners club is 100% right.
Cam belts ? Vis motors ? Rear spark plugs on v6 ? water pump v6 ? Head gaskets 1.8 ? Thermostat v6 ?Rusty brake lines ? WORKING ON THESE CARS IS A JOKE
i love the 75 in and out but that awful k-series really ticks me off.poor maroon zone 75...apart from that pre fl was nice looking and interior is very comfortable, better than mercedes and you'd never have to worry about it dating because the styling is 50 years old already.yay for antiques made before your eyes.primrose was rather awful lol.

LOL you would have thought they would spend some of their budget improving the build quality, or even designing some nicer wheels, but no, they spent it all on paint so that owners could distinguish theirs from all the others at the golf club!
Do you own or have you owned a 75? If you haven't then don't base your misguided assumptions with out any evidence! But the way if you knew anything about them then you would know they did some 'nice wheels'. The 17'' Vikings, 17'' Star Spokes and 18'' Vortex to name but a few! By the way take a look through the brochure for the BMW you probably own and take a look at the number of colours they produce for their Diabolically ugly vehicles.
So although I have not owned a 75, I do feel that I am making a well-informed judgment of its shortcomings, as my vehicles (bar the excellently made and innovative for its time disco) suffer from the same inefficiencies and idiosyncrasies. It's part of the charm of British car ownership, but it's also part of the reason Rover, Triumph, Morris, etc etc are no longer making cars.
@LCCR1993 Lovely cars, i have a 1.8 Conn Se in Firefrost, love it, as for the wheels, the Meteor and the Serpents and the Apex's were great looking alloys. Many people who try to down the 75/ZT have never driven one.
Yes might be highly acclaimed, but it never managed to be 'cool', to put it in Top Gear speak. Even the 'hot' version by MG had a prehistoric 260hp V8, which Top Gear at the time said - it would be excellent if only the 260 in the badge stood for kilowatts. Yes BMWs are ugly and the range of silvers and blacks they offer is depressing, but that doesn't make them any less successful. Rover on the other hand was the last victim of British imperial stubbornness!
I owned a lovely 2000 Connossier SE in Atlantic Blue for a few years, couldn't afford the juice to run the V6 engine though so had to sell it....

@KramNodd That is the Firefrost red one, i have one the very same, nice colour

That yellow is rancid!
I did, and still do think they look very elegant in the dark greens and blues. The dark reds aren't bad either.
I notice this video didn't feature any of the lurid "monogram" colours though.

Not sure the music suits but lovely cars. The 75 is the clear descendant of the P5. Looks good in every colour.

Thankyou LCCR1993, for finding the photographs I compiled of the Rover 75's colours and putting them rather aptly to "Ride Of The Valkyries".
I look forward to the next installment showing the MG ZT colours, and don't forget the Monograms too. Keep up the good work.
