I use to be a 3rd party advocate but I no longer am. You'll still end up with bad Gov't. Lobbyist will just grease the 3rd party candidates and soon you'll have a 3 headed monster instead of 2. That is not entirely true. You have Blue Dogs aka Conservative Dems who doesn't always vote along party lines, yet, on the ballot, the only thing you see is Democrat instead of Conservative Democrat which has several fundamental differences.

I say we get rid of all parties and only have names of candidates on ballots and not political affiliation. That way, voters are tempted to just go down the line and vote all dem/ repub. They would have to know something about each candidate.
