The lyrics of this this song are not very remarkable, but Max Raabe sings many old German songs, mainly from the 20ies and early 30ies with fine ironical and witty German lyrics, often written by Jewish authors (like Friedrich Holländer, cf. the song from the "Blue Angel"), a tradition which has been eventually wiped out by the Nazis, and which has, in spite of some efforts by younger German/Austrian songwriters in the recent decades, never really revived in its former brilliance and scope.

@zap22it The original lyrics got adopted to a German text that just had to fit the beat: So it means:" hello, hello, Daisy, what are you going to do today, Daisy" instead of the original "you are driving me crazy"

It is about a young man phoning Daisy and asking for a date- in vain.

@nekrosith Rabbe was born in 1962, 'Return of the Jedi' came out in 1983, Raabe founded the Palast Orchester in '85 and first recorded in '88. It's highly unlikely that there's any connection.
