  • @WeatherNYC Already did :)

  • @WeatherNYC It really was! And a total surprise too. I was so busy that day I hadn't had the chance to watch the weather reports or check anything myself online. Thanks for watching!

  • A night of weather roulette; Rain, sleet, freezing rain, thunder, lightning, and snow to end the night. Never seen anything like that before.

  • @NationOfAnimation We had a little bit of everything that night! Thanks for watching!

  • @Albanian4lif Agree 100%!

  • First a ice storm to coat the salt, then the snow which slept happily on top of the ice, because the ice underneath prevented a lot of melting from salt.

  • @bvestationfan Yep, definitely a sight to see and a surprise one at that! Thanks so much for watching!

  • Hello i need your help i love watching videos like this and i want to start making my own, what Camera to you recommend? i'm only an amateur so not too dear :)

    Great video!

  • @aza2294 Thanks for watching! Now a days pretty much any camera you purchase will have the capability to be tethered to your computer so you can capture and edit your video. Once edited you can then upload the file to your youtube account. If you search youtube I'm sure there are many tutorials that will give you all the ins and out's in depth :) And you don't need an expensive camera to do it either!

  • Agreed....No complaint from here either!

    Nice capture and sound!

  • @pawfan Hey thanks!! Glad you enjoyed :)

  • Really spectacular and interesting capture on video. It seems like strange winter storm with lightning and hail.

  • I witnessed the same thing in Manhattan, Kansas, while making a delivery (I drive over the road). Sleet was pouring down, with mammatus clouds, thunder, and lightning. Most exotic weather I've seen so far this year.

  • @moonflow23 Thanks for watching! Been to Manhattan, KS many times myself. I'm sure we'll be passing through once again this year when we head out on our annual storm chase trip to the plains :)

  • Thunder Ice! That is nice! It is like a tale of two different seasons. Wintry precip, winter holding on, and thunder, spring fightning back, lol! Great video!

  • @VideographyOfStorms That's a good way of looking at it Nathan! ha ha yes, it's the battle of the seasons for sure! thanks for watching

  • very nice video

  • @WeatherExtreme Thanks for watching!

  • that was a good one.

  • @V8Jagnut Thanks !

  • very cool man! We got more snow! Going to be cold into next week.

  • @Tstormer Ugh, so tired of the winter! Thanks for watching!

  • @tornadovideostock Me too bro! Dang cold tonight! In the teens.

  • Only in NYC. Good video Scott. If you want some walmer weather its a balmy 19 degrees over here. Lovely.

  • @2010ditta Yeah it's certainly been an interesting past twelve months here in NYC! lol. Glad you enjoyed the video. Yes, I could go for some warm weather right about now!

  • Another great vid. Thanks for sharing!

  • @sussexcounty You're welcome! And hey, thanks for watching!

  • Interesting as always Scott, is there any sort of weather you do not get? At least it not entirely boring here. Had 9 inches of rain in a 6 hour period here 3 days ago, quite a few houses flooded, but as there is nowhere more than 1 mile from the ocean damage was limited.

  • @ozthunder 9 inches of rain in 6 hours!!?? Damn that is a deluge! I can imagine that quite a few homes flooded. If that happened here in my neighborhood, we'd be under water for sure!. Glad you enjoyed my video!! Thanks for watching

  • @tornadovideostock I have three videos of the flash floods on my channel

  • Hey you again, that guy who filmed that July 23rd thunderstorm that caused a ruccus, here u are again, isn't that a surpise snow and thunder weard = Global Warming

  • @WetPooooopie Yep, here I am again, lol! Actually, what happened the other night had to do with there being enough instability in the atmosphere to create a thunderstorm. Just goes to show you that it doesn't always have to be 80 degrees out to get one :) In this case, there were a lot of dynamics at play. Either way, yes...it was a rarity for sure!

  • This is further proof that winter isn't done with us yet

  • @ilovetogofast88 That's for sure! Bring on spring already!!

  • WOW... that's crazy!!! Amazing video as always, Scott!

  • @vmax135 Thanks Michael!! Glad you enjoyed the vid! Crazy winter weather, but now I'm sick of it...I need some heat and humidity already, lol

  • @TheFishyLips It usually is! lol....this is definitely a rarity for us here in NYC :) Thanks for watching!

  • Wild weather. I always love storms but not fond of cold ice pellets.

  • Were those ice pellets that were hitting the ground like dipping dots?

  • Wow, that was quite a storm!!!

    Great video, Scott!!!!

  • @lonerman270 Pretty insane, a very nice surprise indeed!! Thanks for watching!

  • @hockeyteen99 Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if parts of the area did receive about 1/4" of ice pellets. It was coming down hard that's for sure!

  • @hockeyteen99 It happens quite often all over the world, but to get that mix of hail, sleet and ice combined with thunder and lightning is a rarity for around here.

  • Soon it will be thunderstorms in Norway too, but I have to wait to the summer time. Great video btw.

  • @swanty32e Can't wait for summer either! Thanks for watching

  • I captured the same storm from broad channel. I'm gonna upload mine.

  • @Ecw4Lyfe Cool! Shoot me the link when you upload it!

  • @tornadovideostock Will do

  • I guess Its not Spring yet in NY or is that midwestern T storm like weather?

  • @indyfan22k Technically it's spring here in NY, but it sure doesn't feel like it. It doesn't really start warming up here until mid April. The sooner the better! Thanks for watching!

  • Something like this happened back in january or so, with around an inch of ice similar to dippin dots haha. Except we didnt have lightning to go along with the storm:-/

  • @stlchevy95 Yes this is the first time that I can remember us getting hit with a sleet/hail/ice thunderstorm lol. Definitely not a common thing around here. Thanks for watching!

  • OMG i was busy with school work :(, it was hailing before! Great video :D

  • @The2Coolest2 Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed the video. sorry you missed it due to school work.

  • Thanx man! Glad you filmed it! ;)

  • @Brinah You're welcome! And thanks for watching!

  • nice video i wish i was there! btw you are my favorite storm chasers! the others ones i used to like where on discovery but i found a video of them in japan showing all the damage and put ads and made money off it which really upset me. CANT WAIT FOR THE TORNADO VIDS! wish i can come with :(

  • @sharinggon456 I am honored! Thank you so much :) Which video was this that you saw from Japan by the way? I'd be curious to see it. Thanks again for watching and I'm happy you enjoyed the video! Yes, can't wait to get out to the midwest for tornado season!! Just another 6 weeks or so!

  • @tornadovideostock the video was "Japan tsunami aftermath from James Reynolds" like i said it had ads so they were making money from it and it pissed me off so i have no respect for them. woot 6 more week! are u doing anything with the canadian weather network this year?

  • @sharinggon456 I can see where your coming from, but in James defense, he really is a nice guy. The thing with the ads that run over the videos is that we make barely any at all off of that. Literally pennies for each video for the most part. I am a youtube partner as well so I am able to run ads over my videos which I do, and when we upload videos now, it automatically enables that feature which is probably what happened to James video. I understand though your feelings on it :)

  • herein nys wehad snowallday today

  • My area of Minneasota also had Thunder and Lightning with Rain and Sleet with the Storm System that came through is this from that same system or not

  • @garyhstorms10 Yep, same system moving east :) Thanks for watching!

  • @garyhstorms10 a really bad cell of that storm was in ohio and we had some bad hail we were under tornado watch

  • wow you are fast!

  • @Impulsegt1 Ha ha yeah I jumped on this one. Totally wasn't expecting it this evening. A very nice surprise indeed! Thanks for watching!
