@EMDelgado1221 You have to keep in mind that RT didn't initially plan this whole story from day 1. It wasn't until season 4 or so that they started planning out this entire storyline. Naturally, there will be a few plotholes from earlier seasons. Although, they actually do try to explain the deal with sarge and church in season 8. Apparently all of their armor comes with a lockdown feature that kicks in when a soldier is critically wounded. This somehow connects the minds of everyone...(cont)

Sort of like an out of body experience. It's not a particularly good explanation, but at least they tried. I find it simpler just to think of it as a plot hole due to underestimated popularity.

the director said he lost someone very close to him in the war, and tex is found out to be the memory of allison or the person the director cared for and since church is modeled after the director it means they didnt actually date it was the memory of Leonord (Church) and Allison (Tex(i think thats the right name) dating. (remember tex was a ghost to, so she must be an AI as well)
