I just performed in an Easter musical drama at my church for around 700 or so people. When the angel walked down the lane and knocked out the guards, the lights came up and the choir of angels of about 30 or so appeared and we sang this song with all our might! He is our risen Savior!

Jamie Owens Collins is the songwriter of THE VICTOR. Keith Green's piano style was introduced to the Christian marketplace on the album "Growing Pains" on Light Records in 1976 which is were Keith fell in love with the song and later recorded it.
