Living up to the saying that musical theatre can't act. And why is it that every American performer on youtube can only do posh english accents? Spike is English but he sure aint posh. And why kill a vampire during this song, was that the only interesting choreography you could think of, killing a random vampire. @gadgetgirl12 We used the OWMF script book that you can buy, got a musical genius to transcribe the other little bits of music *not* in the book and kept it very quiet that we were doing it - for fear of Fox suing! LOL ;)

@livingalongtheway He has a good voice, but the producers made him sing as sloppy as he did so that he was focusing on acting rather than singing great, they made him record it later on in a studio.
Wow, considering the guy who plays Spike was last minute, he did a decent job. These actors have more courage than most to actually do this. Good job :)

He wasn't that bad. He just seemed to be a bit nervous and his accent was a little thick, but as he is actually English and as you said last minute and nervous I think he did an okay job. Then again, I'm seen musical where the main characters couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. Plus, he was cute.

For an amateur production, this is very well done. The set is simple, yet well designed and I can see the passion in the actors for the song and the show. :D
cmon guys, he may not be as good as James Marsters but you should consider the fact that its not the easiest role to pull off. he was not only a last minute replacement and was super nerous but was also trying to pull off a british accent (which is not ery easy to do talking, let alone singing) so he should get some credit for trying atleast :)
@21biscuitstreet, i love BTVS, but let's be frank, for them it was pre recourded and they had PROTOOLS. You can't really use protools for a live show.

Also that's really rude to say that if one of the original actors had seen this they'd be horrified. All the actors from Buffy seem like genuinely nice people, I think they'd get a kick out of it, and be flattered, not horrified. If this group of people had the kind of money they did for the TV episode, then I'm almost certain it wouldn't be considered an "amateur" production, and would be a lot better (though my personal opinion, no one can be Spike other than James Marsters ;) )
@ReineDeVampire If I were to attemt something as great as OMWF I would do it With Feeling...this whole production is half assed so dont expect people to like it
@21BiscuitStreet Okay, sure...were you there? Did you watch them getting ready for the production? Did you look over how much money they could spend on it? Did you watch every audition for parts in it? Maybe this is the best they could do with what they had. Until you can show something better for this, you shouldn't put them down for it.
There are obviously a lot of things that could have been improved on with these performances, but for being the first group of people to do a stage show version, and not having a whole lot to work with, AND having to deal with at least one last minute replacement, this is good :) Props to you.
It was actually pretty good. I just think that it felt a little rushed. Seemed like they were in a hurry to get to the sog and get it over abd done with.

For an amateur production, this is very well done. The set is simple, yet well designed and I can see the passion in the actors for the song and the show. :D

cmon guys, he may not be as good as James Marsters but you should consider the fact that its not the easiest role to pull off. he was not only a last minute replacement and was super nerous but was also trying to pull off a british accent (which is not ery easy to do talking, let alone singing) so he should get some credit for trying atleast :)

@21biscuitstreet, i love BTVS, but let's be frank, for them it was pre recourded and they had PROTOOLS. You can't really use protools for a live show.

Also that's really rude to say that if one of the original actors had seen this they'd be horrified. All the actors from Buffy seem like genuinely nice people, I think they'd get a kick out of it, and be flattered, not horrified. If this group of people had the kind of money they did for the TV episode, then I'm almost certain it wouldn't be considered an "amateur" production, and would be a lot better (though my personal opinion, no one can be Spike other than James Marsters ;) )

@21BiscuitStreet Okay, sure...were you there? Did you watch them getting ready for the production? Did you look over how much money they could spend on it? Did you watch every audition for parts in it? Maybe this is the best they could do with what they had. Until you can show something better for this, you shouldn't put them down for it.

There are obviously a lot of things that could have been improved on with these performances, but for being the first group of people to do a stage show version, and not having a whole lot to work with, AND having to deal with at least one last minute replacement, this is good :) Props to you.
