Some people regard Chuthonic forces as an act of rebellion against established authority, namely Christianity. He is the classic rebel. If his views were a majority then he would rebel against them. As Erickson would say he is still in the rebellious stage of development. He probably goes against the police and his parents when he was with kids and now.

@TheWellofMimir well for a definition Chuthonic simply means darkness or underworld, not necessarily Cthulu which is something entirely different, someone who has studied theology or psychology with religious implications would understand that.

Anyhow, I know exactly what you mean! Some people, whether it be a christian preacher or an underworld somethin/somethin, totally look like some salesman trying to sell ice to the Eskimos. What really makes wander is how their followers don't see that. That totally beats me!
