  • How deep is your p.e? And good video

  • :) wow you motivated me thank youz

  • "Everyone is diferent, if we were all the same, there'd be any point"

  • Thanks so much mate. I'm 16, my friends call me "bullet chest" for banter hahaha. I take it on the head sometimes, but it bottles me up sometimes and i'm paranoid of taking my top off infront of girls. My mates have been motivating me to start lifting, this has done it even more. Thanks mate <3

  • hello, im writing from Argentina, dude i have that same problem, but i am keeping with can not get the shirt out in public, my english is not good but a understand some words you say, i have not money for surgery, please, can make translation in description with all you say, in english or spanish cuz i am good readign english but if talk faster i can understand, thanks

  • @hinatahyuga666 if talk faster i can't understand i mean e.e

    i hope you fine

  • I have this but luckly when I hit my growthspurt my ribcage expanded and doesnt cause problems anymore. Back then I had breathing problems. I workout alot also. And it helps alot with confidence

  • very inspiring mate thank you

  • you are an amazing person, and honestly you just look like a big guy, your chest doesn't look any different to mine in my eyes, I'm so glad there is someone on YouTube like you speaking out, if more people knew about it then maybe less people would point it out

  • I have this condition. I'm nearly 27 and it's not so severe as others I have seen. My confidence is fairly high but regardless, I'm slowly developing heart problems. Strain and pressure in my chest is becoming more and more commons. I'm considering surgery so twenty years down the road I don't have to worry about it.

  • Does anyone have any issues with not being able to build muscle in the inner/upper pecs? and/or any solutions?

  • Comment removed

  • Thx for the advice dude i had a similar problem but its a bit different that your because its only forming in the right chest

  • Great vid bro. I'm 23 years old with a pretty severe pectus and i'm seeing a doctor soon to explore the option of surgery but after watching this video i'm really starting to have second thoughts about it.

  • New video coming up this weekend!!!

  • @Yshynsin this video is great, however i think you miss the point of the surgery even for mild cases its recommended because with age it can worsen and also with age it can be harder to correct. After reading countless articles and testimonies, its obvious getting the surgery or alignment from a cardiologist specialist is highly recommended with positive results in most all cases. it can improve life and longevity for humans to have a perfectly open chest. It affects more than what u touch on.

  • 0 dislikes... that pretty much sums it up. Keep up the good work bro

  • great video very inspiring

  • Great video!

  • Thanks dude your very inspiring . helped allot !

    Cheers from australia

  • right on! thanks for the inspiration.

  • Great video, it really puts a good prospective on the subject to see how a normal guy doesnt let this bother him and has turned it around. I think this will inspire a lot of people. I have lived with this all my life and it was not til i was 37 i had a prosthetic implant. It helped my self esteem, but was not really the answer. Mine was a wider deppression though.

  • hey im 15 i bodybuild im prob the most in to it than anyother kid in my province anyway muscle building is easy for me but i wanna be a bodybuilder i have my right side of my sternum stick out a bit this takes alot of evening out hopefuly when im 20 i am healthy enought to "bodybuild" like for real actually building and natural takes forever

  • I'm fine with it...at least I'm not handicapped...I'm fortunate which to cry about it

  • Thanks for the video. You're a very pretty chap, and your body's looking great - can only really notice your chest from the side. I plan to do something similar soon. Where are you from?

  • Man this really is a good video thanks for the post. Real good insperation always felt a bit self conscious when comes to decline but then I came across that same mind set you talk about in this vid I could care less what people think. were living and were healthy enjoy life while we can

  • i know i know i know ;) i really think that the surgery is the thing for me.... but i do body build

  • ye but now the surgery is from the sides and the scares arnt tht big:D

    its more worth it

  • 22 and I have this condition too. Thanks for this video man, it was really inspiring. I have mentally struggled with this all my life but recently I've been starting to feel better about it. I've never met people in my life that have it, but it's good to see others out there on youtube.

  • I have pectus excavatum and I don't really give two fucks but when someone gives me shit my problem is not kicking the living shit out of him

  • For some reason, my upper, inner chest won't gain muscle, i've done plenty of exercises including Flys. Can anyone suggest a reason or a way to gain muscle there?

  • great attitude bro, keep up the good work! ur goin to get far in life thinkin that way

  • Great attitude! I had surgery 3 years ago! Horrible! I have 4 scars and the chest is not 'perfect' but I'm over it, I'm even quite proud of my scars. I have a sweet and caring girlfriend who doesn't care about my chest. Ironically she's a international fashion model so don't think your second rate cus of your chest! 'Nice' girls really don't care, if a girl does make a big deal of it trust me, their not worth your time, send them packing to the self obsessed queens at the gym!

  • im 15 and ares looks similar thanks for the advice

  • i had this but i had it fixed with the nus procedure anbd im still recovering from it. Mine was no where near like yours but it just got to the point that i was depressed by it and i wouldn't go swimming and that. Mate i would really recommend you getting a scan done of your chest just to make sure it isn't touching your lungs or addding preasure onto your heart in any way, mine was affecting my lung slight and i had a mild to moderate. However i have been in hell these past couple of months

  • Nice video man. Do you have any list of exercises you can do at home ?

  • Good job man, I'm 21 and I think I have pecs a lil bugger then urs and a "hole" a little bigger too. Sure glad I did not have surgery when I was younger and really wanted it!

  • really made me feel better about the whole thing thanks!

  • Dude just so u know man. I'm being very serious u motivated me so much... Cus of u.I'm going to the gym now

  • Hi, I'm 17 years old and I live in The Netherlands. I have PE too, I am now training 4 days a week in the gym, to get a ( nicer ) chest for me. I'm working out for like 7-8 months. I do more weight at almost anything than my friends with a normal chest. What I want to say is that people with PE don't have to do less weight.

I actually want to thank you, you gave me lots of motivation now.

Good luck with bodybuilding and wish me luck too.

  • i'm 36 i have PE. when i was 23 i did bodybuilding all my mates where jealous of the way i looked. but inside i was self concious about PE.

about that thing you said about not benching much weight, thats not 100% true i could bench 170Kgs, 3 sets 6-8 reps No roids. people used to say to me that its because of my odd shaped chest. never had a prob with the ladies. i just wish i had a mind like yours when i was your age. older now don't bodybuild anymore but can stil bench 100kgs without thinking

  • Supper Likes for wonderful video mate <3 :)

  • I got surgery and I feel a lot better

  • Thanks for the positive reinforcement. I've been working out a bit with surgery in the back of my mind, but I think this is gonna keep me focused on getting bigger instead of sticking a few bars in my chest.

Keep up the good work, man.

  • @sebwood1 i experienced this and found out first hand from a doctor. because people with pectus excravatum have a different structure rib cage. The bottom of the ribs flare inwards. you may notice them as you breathe in in the mirror which results in not being able to get a six pack.

  • @springer2194 Did you have any issues with the upper/inner chest? i've been able to add mass to the outer pectoral, but it gives the appearance of my chest muscles slanting inwards?

  • Great video mate, your attitude gives me confidence about myself. In the past when i've worked out, i've not been able to gain muscle in my upper, inner pecs, did you have any problems with that?

  • I just started at the gym. I'm feeling a bit more confident already. But sometimes in gymclass at shool when were in the changingrooms I might get comments or questions about my "hole". I just laugh my way out of it and says that people are diffrent. But still it does something with my confidence. I try as best as I can to build it, but sometimes theres always something that kills it.

  • @eggorey its not a matter of 'think' its actually knowing. i've had bad experiences in the past.

  • Thanks for this video.

  • I am in year 13 and am set to be going on holiday to Malia or Kavos sometime during the summer holidays with a group of mates to celebrate exams and our last year together. I unfortunately was born with pectus excavatum. (cheers grandad!) and have disguised it for 17 years. My friends want to book the holiday asap and i am literally terrified with the whole taking your shirt off on the beach or pool and being labelled a 'freak'. Every morning i wake up and pray when i look in the mirror ..

  • @springer2194 Hey bro, as you grow up you'll come to learn it's no big deal. I remember growing up with friends that would give me shit for it. Let's just say I don't see those people anymore.

Just take the good with the bad and you'll develop a thick skin. Stop trying to hide it and embrace it. Social interactions are all about confidence. Not looks.

I guess my advice is - it becomes less of a big deal as you grow up. But kids can be cruel.

  • @springer2194 really? You think they'll call you a freak? My friends think it's badass lol

  • heyyy dudeee thankzzz 4 this upload i think that your a 100 % right surgery is not good and people who do get surgery done are ashamed of who they are and how they look and they should go to the therapist to fix their brain not there chest

cheerss matee and i knoww exactly what you are talking about peace out

  • @Yshynsin Hope you understand what i mean bro I'm not saying what you said is wrong I'm just saying that sometimes some people have had more on the line than you have. The condition has actually made us lose something we wanted more than anything.

  • great mentality man. I give you that but some of us who have the condition have actually suffered set backs in life due to its effects.it reduces physical endurance, I'm a Filipino born and raised, my dream was to play pro ball. i trained harder than everyone when i got recruited for college ball but no matter my training i could never keep up. I puked everyday in practices but still in the end, failure, the team dropped me. Good mindset but don't say the condition doesn't affect life.

  • Great video, wish I had seen it 25 years ago. I struggled with PE since I was about 10. Thats about the age other people noticed. I didnt bother me much but I hated the comments people would make. "Oh man that dude hasn't got a heart" or "will you stop doing that with your chest ewww" . At the age of 16 I had the Ravitch operation. Nasty scar and unbelievable pain for at least 3 months, never played contact sport again, with in 2 - 3 years it sunk back. DO NOT HAVE THE OP - go to the gym

  • Hey all, went to my doctor about my pe today, she recommended weights to reduce it's appearance, only if it's not restricting toe Lungs etc...

  • thanks for the vid

  • weeks ago i was sure to get surgery, but your video made me think about it more, and now i think id rather be the way i am, naturally, and not to change that! im 14, i've started going to the gym now, and i dont care what people think about me, if they've got a problem with it, then thats being them, they dont know what its like!!

  • OMFG what a hole. 100 years of bodybuilding cant fix that. go to surgery man.

  • @gpay88 Yo, man that's not cool. I'm 13 and have one. Mine is minor though, and now I'm ripped and have only been working out for like 2 years. My looks almost normal now, and people didn't know until I tell them. It just takes hard work.

  • @hippietuber

i had one too,and i had surgery 1 month ago. Its okay to be ripped, but you can still se the hole if you look from the side,no mateh how u train

  • @gpay88 True, but if you work hard enough it''s barely noticeable. Unlike some people who have theirs bad. Then surgery is neccesary.

  • @hippietuber

    you re right :)

  • great video real inspiring like that other guy said. live life to the fullest ,and dont let a little chest problem stop it cuz it really isnt that big of a deal. stay confident and body build.

  • All Pectus is now is part of my motivation like you said, keep up the work man!

  • my favorite video on youtube so far. I agree with you a hundred percent man, I used to be so self conscious about my chest (ive got it about the same degree as you) and how I would be able to convince my parents to get me the surgery and a bunch of other pointless bullshit. Bodybuilding really had a positive impact on the way I thought about my chest, now days people comment on my physique in a positive way. I'm now 21, going to college in the process of becoming a personal trainer.

  • You kick ass.

  • hey dude, how do you react when someone touch your chest, and right after they say: "wow, what's that??? you have a hole in your chest??" i hate when this happens, usualy i try to smile and say: "it's just a deeper chest, lots of people have it"

  • @gugarmy Im not sure really dude.. Im just like, yeah, it's annoying, its a bit weird, but not much i can do about it! I've make up in other areas ;) .... That second bit usually gets the girls interested! haha

  • I FUCKING LOVED EVERY WORD U SAID

  • Great vid man I am 27 have same chest and build. Feels good to hear someone talk so positive about this . The only thing I worry about now is long term effects as far as position of heart and how it will effect us when we are old?, but till then live strong thanks again very inspirational

  • @0JohnLascola0 I went to the docs when i buggered my ankle a few weeks back, got him to look at my chest. He said it shouldn't cause me any problems. Whether he's right or wrong not sure, should've got him to write it down so i could sue him if I have problerms! :)

  • Good vid mate, Im 40 now and god when i was in my teens and 20s didnt want to take my tee shirt off, really stopped me getting off with anyone. Then I hit the gym and you really couldnt tell, now i strip off anywhere lol. Like you said it motivated me

  • @repboy1 always welcome mate!

  • Thx, i have 15 years and i already have a big complex about this hole...The problem is that I have, the final part of the ribs (going for the abs) a lot out ... this is my chest is not at the same level of the ribs ... you have your ribs just right with the hole I did not. I do not know if I did understand. I'm skinny but I failed to consider this hypothesis.

  • @Towern96 Keep building your chest up, mine sits about equal also, sometimes looks like a pot belly, keep working hard, turn it into a wicked set of abs, and if anyone has a problem. get your six pack out and tell them to do one :)

  • @Yshynsin thx, i will :)

  • You don't know how inspiring you are :) Thank you

  • It can be pressing on your heart, causing deformities in your heart, plus lung capacity is limited.

  • inspirational talk dude, thanks alot

  • thanks for taking your time downloading this video my chest is a little more deeper than yours...like 2months ago i went to the pool with my friends and they were like"hey man y u have a hole on your chest???i did not like it i felt bad..so.i am going to the gym working out alot specially my chest and its getting better and better..try to stay with your chest up its very important....

  • do you mean overcoming it like getting rid of how deep it looks or like improving your breathing

  • Thanks man, girls dont mind it! problem i have is lads in the changing rooms taking the piss:(

  • @PappaCraft screw em mate! they are probably just jealous or have nothing better to do. It will stop, don't worry :)

  • All you youngsters out there who have it. I have it to, not that bad, in fact its not bad at all, but I remember when I was young I was so self conscious. Dont worry, at least if you dont have it really bad, once the muscles come on, and you work and strengthen your chest, it doesnt look bad at all. Just don't take any shit, and dont be afraid to make fun of yourself.

  • Fucking legend :)

  • @concavechest yes it makes us look weak though i am super strong :)

  • how about girls maan i dont care what a nother duude thinks all that one can think about is what the opposite sex would think about it.

  • @garourou I've had loads of girlfriends, one for 2 and a bit years and im only 20! Didn't loose my virginity untill i was 18 and since splitting up with my girlfriend this time last year I've slept with 14 women. They have all said it's cool and not complained at all about it. they think it's different and they like it!

  • how a bout sexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx???

  • Bahahahaha dude your funny as anything! Thanks for the vid.

  • @Mrphillyphil19 Hope this i meant in a good way! ha

  • @Yshynsin Ahaha bro it is dont worry. And yeah thanks for this , it makes me feel better about mine.

  • Thanks man I was worried and shit about what would happen to me but I've been inspired and you made me consider how lucky I am that I'm not the same but different thanks again

  • Inspired me alot, im 15, i have not got as much exvatum thing, but it does really tear down my selfconfidense, but you really helped me ! Thx!

  • @Shabadubi Im glad it helped for you! I still get low on confidence! But who cares man?! Im really glad this helped you out man, stay proud! x

  • Thankyou very much for making this video, really

  • LMAO, I told my friends I was playing pirates in my back yard and a friend shot my chest with a cannon and the cannon ball hit me in the chest. Think of it this way.. with Pectus Excavatum you are 1 - 400 and you can make it less noticeable.

  • When you make the mountains bigger, the canyon will look deeper. Get it? I admire your optimism but you need surgery mate. With your motivation, you can recover strongly from the operation, and hit the gym harder with no dent....

  • listen i have the same problem...don't worry, keep training and train harder you'r pecks u'r six packs and back...I went at the gym for over 5 months and the results have appeared...the hole is much smaller and u are in very good condition keep excercising

  • @BetiucTomi cheers man, thats good news, im hoping that in the next few months I will see the difference, people are already sasying down the local pub how i am looking much bigger, i love the compliments :)

  • @Yshynsin don't worry and don't go to the surgery u will have to stay like 2 months and do nothing absolut nothing and it will hurt in many ways keep training take protein powders to accelerate the muscles and update new vids about the progres...

  • Cont.-> said that I wont be able to excercise for 6 months, guess what, after a month I already do pushups and swimming, because I'm strong and motivated and just raise my middle finger to medicine:). I don't regret my decision. Im now happy with the way I look (even though I lost a stone after the op) and will get back to training in no time! But man as I said I admire your attitude and if you ever consider op. I say go for it, painful like a bitch, but hell its worth it:)

    Love to all pe guys!

  • Dude I totally amire your positive attitude. I had a pe and had it fixed with a nuss procedure almost 2 moonths ago. I always hated the way I look, my deformity affected my confidence etc. i tried to fix it with weightlifting, i got massive, but the dent was more visible. I am a freerunner, am extremely fit and it was a big dillema to go under the knife. I decided to do it because I prefer to sacrifice my training for some time but to have a normal chest till the rest of my life. The doctors

  • Yeah I'm 14 I'm 5 feet 8 inches tall and weigh 138i bench 150 squat 150 and deadlift 185 I've been working out since my haller index is 2.53 and a normal chest is 2.5 and u have to have 3.25 to get the surgery so I'm just working out for cosmetic reasons

  • Dude ur whole hand almost up to your knuckles went in when u showed how deep it pe was what's ur haller index

  • @muscletylerbuffcobb not a clue, I know you can improve it with regular weight lifting though

  • i agree with your optimism, i would keep my chest the way it is. but... it affects me when i train and workout. makes me nauseas and light headed because of the lack of oxygen. the lack of oxygen is because of my pectus excavactum. its frustrating

  • @funelboy Love the name Funelboy haha, I get what you mean, I always seem to be less fit than my teammates in rugby, even with the same level of exercise and training, I always seem to be short of breath, day to day living im not sure it really affects me, although, I've never had it any different, So it might just be that Im used to the way it is now.
