Andre Debosed got that butt-naked Harvin/Mike Vick speed!!! A defenite "gamechanger" and that cat Dunkley on the other side. I think the offense will be much better next year with Brantly. I think Tebow never really recovered from that concussion, he looked much different after that and only threw to Cooper. He looked indecisive at times and held the ball too long. You can tell because after that game he never did his "BraveHeart" get the crowd hype chomps..

Rainey will be a beast I agree. I did not like the play calling alot this year, way too conservative, when they open it up we saw what could have happened had he been able to throw 30 times a game or so. They were way too conservative this year and I guess it had to do with the new coordinator? Whatever it was I disagreed with alot of calls and game plans.

There were dropped passes but that doesn't excuse how many times there were chances to score and it wouldnt happen. alot of times Tebow would see Riley open he would over throw him. i'm not a gator fan, but i am a big fan of SEC football and i enjoyed watching him play at FL. he played especially great in running the ball against oklahoma (on one play in the 4th q, he did put a great move on one guy). i'm just saying... knowshon moreno has better moves than percy harvin, percy harvin has better speed and hands than knowshon moreno.

I think I'm either misreading your comment or you made a typo, but Knowshon did NOT rush for 200 yards against UF last year. And the year before that it was all sophomore and freshmen on defense. So against an inexperienced defense he walked all over us.

I actually agree with you on this one while, Harvin was extremely fast, quick, and talented, however I've always felt he was a bit stiff and wasn't THAT elusive, as many people make him out to be. I think a lot of people immediately associate speed with elusiveness and agility and fail to make a distinction between them, so it's often misconstrued. I really like your comparison though he really, at least to me, didn't have that idiosyncratic "wiggle" like Warrick or Bush or Sanders did.
If you are fast, quick, and talented then that makes you elusive....watch a Percy highlight video and see how many people he makes fall down when they are 10 yards in front of him ready to tackle him. He is as elusive as they come. No one ever tackled him cleanly, they just happened to be lucky and get a little piece of him.
Florida is my favorite team but I dont know what we were thinking by recruiting Debose and saying that he's the Next Percy Harvin. There is only one Percy Harvin and you cant fill his shoes. Harvin is the mahn!!!

Btw, he may have been injuried BUT he still played 98% of the time and in the 2007-2008 season he played about "70-80%" (his words) AND STILL HAD A LEGIT argument for being a heisman candidate.
You bringing out the issue that he was injuried is stupid beyond words bc the people who actually paid attention to him know that he was still doing better injuried than almost everyone else.
RB has ALWAYS benifited from a great O-line. Our o-line sucked ass in 2007-2008.

i'm not a gator fan, but i am a big fan of SEC football and i enjoyed watching him play at FL. he played especially great in running the ball against oklahoma (on one play in the 4th q, he did put a great move on one guy). i'm just saying... knowshon moreno has better moves than percy harvin, percy harvin has better speed and hands than knowshon moreno.

this "no-show" shit has gotten old already. this has nothing to do with georgia against florida. i'm comparing players, not trying to bring up an arguement between the two teams like you are. the offensive line play was poor all of last year (no upperclassmen) and he still led the SEC in rushing. congrats on spikes hitting him... he still ran for 200 yards against them when he had solid blocking.

I actually agree with you on this one while, Harvin was extremely fast, quick, and talented, however I've always felt he was a bit stiff and wasn't THAT elusive, as many people make him out to be. I think a lot of people immediately associate speed with elusiveness and agility and fail to make a distinction between them, so it's often misconstrued. I really like your comparison though he really, at least to me, didn't have that idiosyncratic "wiggle" like Warrick or Bush or Sanders did.

If you are fast, quick, and talented then that makes you elusive....watch a Percy highlight video and see how many people he makes fall down when they are 10 yards in front of him ready to tackle him. He is as elusive as they come. No one ever tackled him cleanly, they just happened to be lucky and get a little piece of him.

lol let's see what LSU brings to the table next year ;-) but yeah, Harvin is an amazing player. He's definitely one that would always be hard to replace. Debose may have been lined up in all those positions, BUT he didn't punt it or anything he was just put there to run it. We'll see what he does hopefully he's as good as Urban thinks he is ;-) should be a good year.

For Dre's case I hate that we as fans have to compare him to players from the past....but that's what we do... we all wish we were half as fast or as skilled as this guy, but we arent, that's why WE are fans and HE might just be the best HS player in the nation. I cannot wait to see Andre on the field next year making big play after big play hopefully, i will be purchasing tickets and driving from georgia to watch Timmy, Andre Debose and the rest.
