Mr. Armstrong helped break so many color barriers when MLK was cutting his teeth.. too bad he didn't live to see the fruition of that. He should have been treated a superstar, rather than a second-class somebody!

...I'm a folk/blues/rock guitarist 30 plus years;I borrow,and have learned so much from Louis in so many ways in my music!Vocal phrasing;solo playing;showmanship;professionalism;philosophy about how music is played...I could go on&on& on!Legend,Icon,Genius,Pioneer...How many names,laurels,tributes shall we give him?Like I said elsewhere about another legend,R.I.P.Louis!I am a better human,person,man...for having known your music;the world likewise is a better place for your gifts to us!!!

Q:What kind of man would get in between a couple on their honeymoon?A:LOUIS!During my parents' honeymoon in 1955-Louis in the middle,his arms around both;all three wearing THE biggest smiles you have ever seen!Great pic my folks still have somewhere!We all know the genius of his playing;he was a Grand Master vocalist also!This cut showcases this-his intonation(hitting the correct note)always perfect;his phrasing(when to hit notes,how long to hold them)ditto!I'm a folk/blues/rock guitarist...
