I remember hearing about a Japanese lunar orbiter that was supposed to have a high resolution camera that was going to take images of the landing site, does anyone know anything about that?

I saw this TV program maybe 3 or 4 years ago and they said this Japanese orbiter was going there in 2009 or something like that but ever since i have heard nothing about it.

@TheCodyx7 Are you serious? Jupiter doesn't really have a surface it's a GAS giant, its atmosphere is indistinguishable from it's "surface", it's all GAS.

@TheCodyx7 There may be life there, but not what we'd recognize. Jupiter is a failed sun, as it did not have enough mass for ignition. There is a "surface" of Jupiter--compressed metallic hydrogen surrounding an iron core.
