Depends how much you want the Gw2 rewards for having played the first game (takes a long time to earn them). I'd say this LP covers more stuff than you'd catch if you played yourself, though.

Theres a guy at lions arch who'll give it to you. If you have it with you when you complete missions, it'll fill in the pages. And then when the book is full you can trade it for gold and experience! Pretty cool.

I've been looking everywhere for a LP of this (obviously not hard enough). I have a couple friends who don't have the time to play the game itself (and therefore won't buy it), but they can watch an LP slowly while doing other things and know what happened.

Haha yeah, but i'm optimistic! I did numerous tests before begining, just to see how insane it really was, and its not so bad. Prophecies is certainly the easiest of the three and its not like i'll be in Hard Mode. Still, I have no idea what i'm going to do about stuff like Thunderhead keep. Just have to wait and see :D

Hmm. Well Gw2 may be further back than you expect! Having said that, though Gw1 doesnt exactly appeal to everyones tastes, I think its worth the buy. Its pretty cheap these days for all 4 games and its free forever afterwads. It will also let you get to grips with the story and earn special unique items in Gw2 if you really want them.

I'd suggest you watch a few of my (or anyone elses!) vids first, though, to be sure you'll like it. Because some people dont.
