Very, very nice vid. There's something very special about flying with birds. They are masters of this domain. Amazing how they can judge the landing on an object that is moving in 3 dimensions. Love your work.
Looks like a vulture to me. Only vultures have featherless heads because they eat carion. That way the meat doesn't get into their feathers encouraging disease and other parasites.
I get the bit about how awesome paragliding in the Himalayas can be... I just don't see the thrill you seem to get from having the winged rat following you around nibbling rotting meat-treats off your noggin... Also, you gotta dump the inane soundtrack...
paragliding is cool - a vid based on baiting a winged-rat with stinkin meat-treats while gliding is not. the dopey soundtrack complements the mentality behind the vid perfectly: "wing-ged rat, winged-rat, flahh-hing hiiighee, flahh-hing hiiighee, [repeat ad infinitum]

@BigBadSeattleLad what the hell are you talking about... No-one has ever called vultures winged rats, thats pigeons. And many species of vulture are beautiful, but I doubt you've ever looked at them properly... you know, being an idiot and all. And I don't think people who parahawk care about whether you deem it cool or not, they do it because they think it is cool. so get the fuck over yourself :) I wont be looking at your reply if you make one btw.
@Mawbid101 ...ok, keep your featherless head parked snugly up your rotting carcass. "No-one has ever called vultures winged rats"(?) I did, that's all that matters. They’re the higher rung of winged-rats while pigeons are merely lesser, city-bound cousins. And, "people who parahawk [don't] care whether I deem it cool or not"(??). Like you and other short-dicked, pick-up driving, tribal tattoo sporting breathren - it's precisely us - the higher-runged embodiment of manhood they seek to impress.

Occasionally they have touched the lines but never have they been entangled in them. We fly very carefully using special techniques to prevent these things happening.
Just sooo cool. A real "feel good" vid. I've got a day flying birds of prey whenever I want, can't wait however doing it this way would be tops! Excellent camera work too. Must've had quite a few cameras? Regards, Steve "Madcow" Cowham
They are captive birds, ie they are trained in a similar way to captive falcons but with many differences. You'll have to come to Nepal to see for yourself :)
TaLk about REALLY flying with the eagles! Very cool...loved the bird chasing you in a spiral! I would think Paramotoring may not be wise with birds coming so close.
Did you chose that species of bird for any special reason?
Very cool! I tried to feed some McDonalds french fries to seagulls here on Panama City Beach, FL. But every time they got close enough to grab it, my Fresh Breeze Monster cut them to ribbons! Bummer!
Scott for me was a pure plasure to fly together with u and your lovley birds i houpeso to have this expiriance again on the same place :) Cheers and have good boarding holiday in...
