I have this phone and it is great. It is fairly fast and calls are clear this phone is also durable. The web browser that came installed was slow so I installed opera mini and it works much faster. Overall I would recommend this phone if you need a low budget smart phone. I got mine on bestbuy.com for $60

Ok, I'm thinking about getting this phone. I see that a lot of people on here are saying that it's slow...I had a BlackJack II and it has Windows on there and I never thought it was slow and I never really got confused how to work it. BUT i have went on line to find out about the matrix ( the one that i am getting), and from the video that he posted i can only tell you that the key pad is bigger than the matrix, so it is easier for you to text!! BUT i've noticed there are few seconds delay for this phone 0:14, and i know that matrix wont have that problem!!!

The Duo is not a good phone. My friend absolutely hated it. You have to have four bars of service to send a text. Keys stop working on the qwerty keypad. It also has bad reception.
its still a good phone though it got really loud speakers, louder then tilt and its smaller it can also pull out the number thing but thats all thats really good about it
the 1 speaker isn't as loud as say an razr 2. The cam blows,and it only reads up to 2gb cards. I owned this phone for three days then took it back. This phone is very disappointing in features and there are a lot better phones on the market for the price. In my opinion it better to spend a lil more for an unlocked phone you like, then support at&t and its crap preloaded phones. Shop around!

The Pantech Duo is a smartphone, and the Pantech Matrix is not. Personally, i prefer th matrix, which is simpler and has faster screen rotation, simpler menu, etc. but if you want all of the features of a smarthone then get the duo.

The new Pantech Matrix is a cheaper version of the Duo. The Matrix is a bit heavier, doesn't come with Windows Mobile, and is a bit sluggish when switching from portrait to landscape view. (Phone keyboard to qwerty keyboard)
the pantech matrix is not at all a cheaper verison of the duo...the duo sucks ass it takes like 10 minutes to switch screens and it breaks about every month
the matrix takes 1-2 seconds to switch screens and is much more durable and have a better feeling keyboard..and its cheaper so fuck you

i own one, and well if your a big texter then yes its worth getting, but the rest of the features its pretty mediocore, its like any other windows mobile phone. probably the only difference is that it has microsoft word, excel and powerpoint, which ive seen only few windows phones have it and some not. and also ive dropped it a few times, and still works properly without any problems.
To be honest, this is a phone for TEENAGERS. Its really small. It looks like a toy phone with tiny buttons. I can't really see anyone in the business world carrying this "cute" little phone. Its so tiny to be a smartphone and I'm very very afraid to drop it as to it might shatter. Wait til its free with a return policy.
its a small computer. same rules apply with a desktop or notebook. multiple apps slow it down. use task mananger to help end programs ur not using. games, documents will stay on the memory till its resrated or killed. i have never had an issue with slow response b4. wish ya luck
just a tip for everyone that camera on the pantech duo is bad when the qwerty keyboard is ut when it is in the regular sliding motion with the numeric keypad the camera is drastically better and remember to take the plastic little screen off of your camera because it will make the camera look bad and you probably wont notice till a year later

The new Pantech Matrix is a cheaper version of the Duo. The Matrix is a bit heavier, doesn't come with Windows Mobile, and is a bit sluggish when switching from portrait to landscape view. (Phone keyboard to qwerty keyboard)

the pantech matrix is not at all a cheaper verison of the duo...the duo sucks ass it takes like 10 minutes to switch screens and it breaks about every month
the matrix takes 1-2 seconds to switch screens and is much more durable and have a better feeling keyboard..and its cheaper so fuck you

Only bad thing is it doesn't have WiFi capability... which means you need to use the service providers internet, which is expensive unless you have an unlimited plan.

i own one, and well if your a big texter then yes its worth getting, but the rest of the features its pretty mediocore, its like any other windows mobile phone. probably the only difference is that it has microsoft word, excel and powerpoint, which ive seen only few windows phones have it and some not. and also ive dropped it a few times, and still works properly without any problems.

To be honest, this is a phone for TEENAGERS. Its really small. It looks like a toy phone with tiny buttons. I can't really see anyone in the business world carrying this "cute" little phone. Its so tiny to be a smartphone and I'm very very afraid to drop it as to it might shatter. Wait til its free with a return policy.

i take care of my phones and but its just a piece of crap
its super slow so if ur a fast texter u basically text faster than it can keep up with.
its bulky which gets annoying when it cant fit in your pocket
and its just made really crappy. like my springs broke inside the phone.

its a small computer. same rules apply with a desktop or notebook. multiple apps slow it down. use task mananger to help end programs ur not using. games, documents will stay on the memory till its resrated or killed. i have never had an issue with slow response b4. wish ya luck

just a tip for everyone that camera on the pantech duo is bad when the qwerty keyboard is ut when it is in the regular sliding motion with the numeric keypad the camera is drastically better and remember to take the plastic little screen off of your camera because it will make the camera look bad and you probably wont notice till a year later
