@om3g4z3r0 Why do people always claim every other singer from the time frame look like Kurt Cobain? Having long blondish hair in the late 80's/90's does not automatically make someone a Kurt lookalike. Wearing the clothes readily available in Washington to deal with the weather like everyone else did does not make them a Kurt lookalike. Mark Lanegan, Mark Arm, Ron Nine, and all the others do not look like Kurt. You say that because Kurt is the face people know best; he didn't come first.
@SgtBastard101 I live in a small town outside of Toronto Canada, its like the crescent version of Seattle, similar weather, music, clothing. I still wear my plaid and flannel shits!
They transcend grunge, even at the time when it was hot (90's). When you listen to this song, it carries the "grunginess", but it still sounds fresh and alive.
I started listening to them in '91. Never stopped. I can't.
Sweet Oblivion is one of my favorite albuns ever. One of the 90's pearls. Would like to invite everyone into ST and the 90's to check my band in this looseground channel. We've just recorded our 1st EP, but the 90's are our main influence along with some other stuff from the 70's and 60's. Thanks. Peace.
Maybe that's the reason why I love this song so much? Because I'm a huge Neil Young fan and I love this song. Well, I guess they don't call Neil Young the god father of grunge for nothing haha.
On topic: Screaming Trees, one of my favorite grunge bands, shame they didn't go big like Pearl Jam, AIC, Nirvana...
yeah neil young is a living legend, ive got his discography, "sleeps with angels" is an interesting album it has a few songs dedicated to kurt cobain on it.
Also check out "neil young rock n roll hall of fame induction" here on youtube he mentions cobain in his speech & eddie vedder is present also.
Yeah, seen Neil Young live in summer. Originaly whole 'Sleeps with angels' album is dedicated to Cobain. Cobain quoted Neil Young in his suicide note and that really touched him I guess. I've seen that video by the way, it's great.
these guys played in my dads back yard way back before they were famous. my dad new the members little brother.

Well, the Trees startet at the beginning of the 1980's and Nirvana came around 1987, so that makes your comment completele irrelevant

The first time I heard this song it moved me so much I actually cried a bit. It's so heartwrending but so beautiful at the same time.
