  • my church played charades once. I signed, not the answer but a clue. I was yelled at for it. Ah well. They said hands were fine :P

  • Every time I play charades now it's SO HARD not to use sign :)

  • OMG you guys are sooo funny! I love your vids!

  • You are hearing! You are part of the hearing world and the hearing culture even if you are also part of deaf culture because of your parents!

  • C.O.D.A. means Children Of Deaf Adults. This is so funny and positive and informational for hearing peole who do not about the deaf. Great Video, you guys are good

  • @SMITTSBEATS Excuse you it is not that bad i am a coda, and some people prefer to be deaf thank you very much

  • you guys are a riot! Did you voice this yourselves? Hilarious! Charades is very hard to play if you know sign but are trying NOT to use it!

  • @terpdarci So true! My family won't let me use it when we play charades because only one other person knows how to sign, and I have such a hard time!

  • Well. Here goes. I am deaf girl. I love that video. Haha. Well. I LOVE to meet many deaf people around state. I love to meet ew deaf. Deaf is in my life. All of my family is hearing. But my mom and my little brother know sign language. Some not. My bestfriend is Hearing Imp. And my other friend is deaf. But she wear C. Implant.

Deaf people is IMPORTANT to me lots! But i love world and hearing too. Both of them. Deaf and Hearing.

I am really love my family -3

    I am glad I watch this ! (:

  • k, so i only started attempting to learn sign language 2 months ago, and ive only been learning online (since my school doesn't have an asl course T.T only one in the 3 surrounding districts.) so im not the best with understanding normal spead signing, but i'm pretty sure you mispelled "hippie"... i saw a "y". BUT: i love this video, and i really like that 2 brothers get along so well <3 ^.^ thanks for posting!

  • omg this was so funny, i literally can't stop laughing...i'm drenched in tears! SO FUNNY!

  • I would like to share your posts on my website, Y'all are off the chain

  • just wondering, how do u sign "hearing people"?

  • @splashbash

At 4:20 in the video, the one on the right does a circular motion with his pointer finger and a closed fist in front og his lips. That is the sign that you are looking for.

  • *of

Sorry about the typo in the previous post.

  • Love the Metallica music. Haha, thanks you guys.

  • are you both deaf? you rock

  • I'm predominately deaf but don't know asl could you please add captioning to your videos?? I know alot of words in asl but it would nice to confirm that I'm understanding what i hear. Funny though!!

  • I desperately want to improve my ASL so I can communicate with my deaf daughter better. She's been deaf only since high school so I haven't had her lifetime to hone my ASL. My question is this: Does "deaf culture" dictate that all hearing people are to be ridiculed when they try to sign and do it awkwardly? My experience would indicate that to be true.

  • @13013m i'm a nationally certified interpreter, and I can say that unfortunatley, there are deaf people out there that are rude and do ridicule hearing people that are learning...they also are rude to certified interpreters that are great signers so don't feel bad or get discouraged. There are more nice deaf people than there are mean ones...I suggest that you get some books on deaf culture...a good book is For Hearing People Only. Mean people are mean and nice people are nice, deaf or hearing

  • @13013m I've been learning for a few years from a friend, and when I meet someone new that's Deaf, they're usually willing to slow down or if I don't know a word to fingerspell it. Even when I was still really new to it and just able to manage small talk, if I came across Gallaudet students, they'd switch to simpler sentence structures so I could get a bit of practice. Folks I've come across have been happy to meet a hearing person who wants to learn.

  • @djorlando64 child of deaf adults is what coda stands for. It means that you are a hearing child of deaf parent(s)

  • Thanks CODA brothers! I'm currently during a paper on Codas and would appreciate Codas out there completing an online survey by 4/19/11. Please spread the word.

Do a youtube search on "Coda Survey - deadline 4/19/11" for the link. Thank you.

  • Fantastic!!!! You guys are inspiring my brother and I to do an Asian American Coda Brother's blog!

  • I am also a coda child:)

  • @djorlando64 CODA stands for child of a deaf adult

  • I love yalls videos! they are soo entertaining. :] my dad is a coda and i showed him a couple of your videos, he loved the charades! keep up the videos!!

  • I was thinking about charades the other day and playing with Deaf people. I think the rules would have to be altered but it still would be way too easy for people that know ASL... haha cheaters! hahaha

  • ROFL :D

  • Wow!!! Tha so Funny! also I am Deaf (=

  • Love you guys. Thanks for helping me continue to learn my ASL! Actually, we did the same thing in my dorm recently. Almost the entire floor were playing Charades, and a few of our floormates were ASL majors, but we made it a rule that there could be no ASL for the game.
