  • Where's the LOVE button. I can personally attest... this is AWESOME Mac and Cheese!!!! The only Mac I will ever EVAH make again. thanks for sharing your very delish recipes!

  • @divascancook Looks great, I do mine the same way. But can I ask, why did you describe this as soul food? No offense but, this dish was given to the U.S. by White Italian-Americans. I thought everyone knew that. Just wondering, but anyway, looks good. Looks just like mine.

  • @IslenoGutierrez so white ltalian-american food can't be soulful? only certain nationality can?

  • Now that is what I call Macaroni and cheese! The stuff most other people be eating is a sad excuse for mac and cheese....seriously, if a person doesnt find themselves going through the many ingredients and steps you have or anything close and if they dont bake the macaroni and cheese then it just aint right!

  • I have trolled through many recipe sites, lots of "how to" videos etc, i am certain that this is gonna be the one i will use for my Thanksgiving dinner

  • Thanks diva and the Music was awesome

  • hey i tried making this and when i seen the indgredients o got lost on one of them the heavy cream so i googled heavy cream and they said its another word for whipped cream so i used whipped cream as my heavy cream or cool whip was this wrong

  • @4508Nunu Yes, you were wrong; heavy cream is whipping cream not whipped cream. I hope this helps.

  • Whats with the song. It dosen't even go with the cooking

  • whats with the song that dosent go with the cooking

  • so no measurement?!

  • That looks amazing...just when you think you know mac n cheese......Bam! Trying this one for the Holidays! Thanks!

  • I made both of your mac n cheese and I liked this one better...I cooked both macaronis in the chicken broth n water. but I think the next time i'll substitute the sharp cheddar instead of the smoke unless i get a shredder for the smoked cheddar. I love the idea of the velvetta n this recipe...love love love it. I added 1 tsp of salt and 1/4 tsp of pepper to the mixture before I added the cheese to the mixture. this was the bomb.com...thank you

  • i usually use velveeta and shredded cheddar. This thanksgiving I will try the other cheeses. Wow! You made it look so easy.

  • measurements?

  • This really looks delicious, my personal suggestion is to add a teaspoon or two of English Mustard just before you put in the eggs! Gives it a great kick!

Loving your recipes here in England! :)

  • Just made this tonight and its very yummy;) keep the videos coming your the best;)

  • my friends love my mac n chezze very simular 2 urs but i have never tryed it w the heavy cream does that make it thicker?? also i usually put the egg cheese n milk mixture in the microwave (cheating) do u cook the eggs all the way in the sauce pan?? and u dont use any butter in the mixture just wondering it adds a lil xtra flavor but maybe the heavy cream takes care of that =)

  • i made this dish for my parents and grand parents when they came to my flat and im not going to lie i think we each put on about 3 pounds after eating that dish thanks sooo much and that cheese mixture is just to damn good

  • I always melt the milk and cheeses in a sauce pan. Then I add a bit of the warm cheese to the egg so that it doesn't scramble. It makes the cheese more even throughout. I just seems like you may have chunks here and there, but it looks really really good and cheesy. I never used heavy cream or cream cheese I may try that. I love your channel. I had heard about you, but had never come across it. U hav really good ideas. I'll B bac!!

  • Looks Really Delicious. Reminds me of my mac and cheese recipe my mom makes

  • Diva you are the best cook, thanks again ..........

  • single man thank u so much

  • wow your mac and cheese came out soooooooo nice and tasty :D i can tell your married to a lucky guy :D he is thinking man this mac and cheese is the bomb xD thank you for the video

  • Bomb.com!!!!! I'm definitely gonna put your recipes in my book =))

  • Where can I get smoked cheese?? Publix?

  • love the food, hate the song :/

  • Thank you for posting this. I tried asking people but they kept giving me all these crazy recipes with cream of whatever soups and all I wanted was plain old regular mama'nem mac and cheese. So thank you so very much. :-)

  • this is a frist i saw someone put heavy cream &cheese in there ..... i usually jus see ppl put egg milk . is they doin it the wrrong way ? or is a choose to add heavy cream cheese ????

  • can milk is good to try also ,lil mustard and onion salt.

  • Okay so this is gonna b my second time tring to make baked mac.... the first time my cheese didn't melt throughout, could i melt the cheese first then follow your recipe?

  • WOW ! Imma BIG Fan Of CHEESE , I'll Go steal your macaronies at night Mouahahahaha !

  • i love Alicia Keys, i love baked mac & cheese, but i had to mute the video to pay attention to the recipe.... :P

  • I can't QUITE remember how my moms used to make it (she passed 12 yrs ago). But, I could swear she added butter to the hot macaroni after she finished boiling it. I didn't see you use any butter here. Aren't you supposed to add butter to mac and cheese or no? I want to learn how to make mac n cheese because I don't know how. I've watched other mac n cheese videos and those ppl made a cheese sauce for their mac n cheese. My moms made hers the why you make yours. Except I think she used butter.

  • now i make mines the same way, however , i boil my water in a neckbone ( ham) or chicken broth) i take out the ham neckbone and cook the macaroni until al dente then before i place the entire dish in the abking pan, after it's been butter. I sprinkle a layer of dry onions, then pour over the mac & cheese. Topping I sprinkle crispy bacon on top and then the smoked cheddar cheese.

  • mmmmh!! gonna cook it today

  • this was a great recipe never saw it done that way. But i'll sure try it. keep doing wht you do. Women like me thats never cooked or was never taught how to cook, you made it look so easy. Im getting married soon, my man loves to eat. His mom is a great cook so I have to step my game up. thanks for the help

  • this is what i call comfort food, its orgasm and its a straight ticket to blocked arteries. Why did god have to make good hearty food unhealthy?

  • oh wow looks yummm

  • This is the Southern style of Mac and Cheese, which uses eggs to thicken the sauce instead of a roux. This can be hard to make the same way consistantely though, because it often comes out dry and gritty, which isn't very appetizing. Is it the heavy cream that prevents it from drying out while it bakes?

  • Can you cook it without cream?

  • EVERYTHING IS JUST LIKE GRANDMAS .....too bad shes a horrible cook

  • Hi from New Jersey! Just checked out several mac & cheese videos including Paula Deen's-yours looked the best!

  • sinful cheese haha damn watching this is making me drool right now haha

  • what if you only had boxed macaroni and no fresh cheese but you had eggs and cream and ham?

  • I had never seen paprika used for baked mac and cheese. I do, however, see a lot of use small amounts of dried mustard in the cheese mixture...not bad taste.

  • I love the combo of learning to cook mac n' cheese along with listening to good music...this and the screen name have convinced me to sub. :)

  • I love how southerners add some beaten eggs to the mixture, it really makes the sauce rise and be nice and cakey...Take it from a New York gal, it's great,

  • Will it be more cprisy if : Before putting the whole dish into the oven, add bread crumbs as toppings and then sparingly add some butter on the top after the bread crumbs then cover with aluminium foil?

  • Eggs? Really? : ) Thanks for sharing! I wanted to come through the screen and join you! lol

  • Hi I went to the website and saw there were differences in what I saw u do here vs the website: on here u mention heavy cream but on the site u don't but add cream chesse and half & half. Also, on the site u don't mention eggs @ all, but here u use them & don't mention how many.... sry 2 b so exacting but its worrysome bc those things can affect also how gouda (mentioned on the site) and smoked cheddar (mentioned on here) would or would not make it into my dish. Thanx in advance!

  • @mellowdiva64 yes it is confusing! I have two mac n cheese recipes on my blog. I accidently uploaded the photo for the other mac n cheese recipe for this video and for some reason it won't let me change it.

  • i did this the first time and it was good.. i did it the 2nd time and it was boooomb!!! I really love this recipe and im determined to try your other recipes as well...

  • Eggs! I never thought of using EGGS in mac & cheese! Who knew?? I think I just might try it. Thanx for sharing!

  • @1958boomergirl I like using eggs 'cause it helps dish hold its shape as oppose to serving a blob.

  • @1958boomergirl

me neither. some of my relatives don't like to share their recipes...glad we have divacancook on yt. that just looks yummy.

  • i luv watchin ur videos! Thanks 4 sharing.

  • how many cups of milk and heavy cream did you use?

  • Thank you Divascancook, I will try your recipe tomorrow and I agree with you the sharp cheese is the best for every cheese recipe. Thanks again hun!

  • For mixing the wet ingredients together... can you mix more than one type of cheese? and how much do you put?

  • this looks great. I usually make a west Indian macaroni Pie but im making a grocery list right now to go buy the ingredients for yours. i was wondering what are the measurements for each ingredient and how many servings was this one you made?

  • My GF is white, how can she put more soul in her cooking?

  • Yum!! I heard some ppl use cream of chicken. If i wanted to use cream of chicken would i replace any of these ingredients??

  • I like the recipe except for the paprika part, i am def doing this, this year!

  • Thank you girl for making this I wish you had a tutorial on stuffing lol.But I am trying this tutorial for sure.Happy holidays.God bless

  • Thanks divascancook...On my way back to the supermarket tomorrow..I would make it now but it would spoil the Thanksgiving Day...I can wait 3 more days..:) What does Collard greens taste like??

  • This was great! Divas CAN cook too!lol god bless

  • Hell Yeah I am doing this for Thanksgiving along with the rest of food.. :P YUM!! What is heavy cream??

  • @Hellokitty5480 heavy cream is usually right beside the milk & refrigerated coffee creamers in the grocers. It comes in a carton and says heavy cream on the front or heavy whipping cream.

  • @Hellokitty5480 Heavy cream is double cream

  • when u say use heavy cream, do u mean sour cream?

  • @divasyle heavy cream is usually right beside the milk & refrigerated coffee creamers in the grocers. It comes in a carton and says heavy cream on the front or heavy whipping cream.

  • @divascancook Thanks girl cause I would have used sour cream...and I'm sure that answered alot of inquiring minds LOL.

  • @divasyle dont try it with sour cream! :)

  • What is the cream that ur using? Please be very specific bc I don't have a clue to what it is.

  • Can somebody/anybody please tell me what cream is? If that makes all the difference in the mac n cheese I need to know what it is. I'm pretty sure theres others that want to ask the same question LOL. Don't act like I'm the only one! :D

  • what in tha world is heavy cream? Can u be very specific please,

  • Dang gurl, I'll give it to ya u be throwing down. It all looks so good.

  • can you let us know the measurments of the ingredients you're using?

  • You f*ckin ruleeee thanks ;) lol

  • Yummy I will try this for my sons b-day party

  • i cook mostly spanish food and always wanted to learn how to make this dish so thank you for taking the time out to teach on this recipe;-)

  • I have never used heavy cream but I do use milk and some garlic salt and pepper and butter. for the milder taste I use colby and then the sharp cheddar on top

  • heavy cream! LOL that's why mine always tastes like its missing a little something. Thanks!

  • Looks too easy!!! i'm gonna try it

  • i have a question. i just made this, its alright, but what is the "cream" what is it called?

  • im about to try this right now :)

  • what if you don't use milk do you prefer cream and milk

  • I freaken love mac and cheese hands down my fav. food ever. then lasgana,

  • I'm SO happy to see the traditional southern way of cooking macaroni and cheese. I'm sick of this cheese sauce thing with butter, flour, and cheese...it always seems gritty. This is the way my grandma used to make it, with the eggs. AWESOME GIRL!

  • what are the measurements? what type of cheese did you use?

  • I looked at your website about this recipe. On your website, the recipe did not consist of eggs, but you show eggs in this video. Should eggs be added? If so, when? Thanks

  • @tvluckey I have two mac n cheese recipes on my blog.

  • Omg. You know, my ex's mom made this for Thanksgiving in GA. :o Finally, the recipe..

  • You didnt say how much mild, heavy cream and cheese to add and how much macaroni noodles!

  • Good idea in putting in the macaroni FIRST before adding the rest of the ingredients. I always mixed them together, but that just broke up the macaroni into pieces. Then again I may also just be cooking it too long. Good stuff, thanks for posting this!

  • i havent tried heavy cream...going to try that next time.....i also tried someones with chunks of ham in it....omg it was so good

  • Incredible! Can I come eat at your house, Diva?

  • I love this song and LOVE this mac 2thumbs uppp!!!

  • I love this..

  • Looks like an easy and yummy recipe. Can I omit the eggs? Thanks for posting.

  • @MrsMSG79 Alicia Keys - Wake Up

  • Well, this recipe is quit interesting and nice. But here a few tipps anyway. For flavor or a extra kick you can season/spice the cheese mixture with garlic powder, cayenne and instead of salt with bouillongratulate. You also can tp the mac ´n cheese with potatoe cips and bacon bites before baking.

  • Love it!!!! Love it!!!! Love it!!!!

  • I have used this recipe twice and I love it .. thanks

  • Extra sharp cheese makes the dish. Why is there paprika sprinkled on top? Wouldn't you mix it in with the salt, pepper and cheese sauce before pouring on the macaroni? Now wouldn't you mix the cheese sauce with the p
