Obama is just another face of the banking and militaro-industrial elite that dominate the world and that tries to use the name of the US as a front for world domination. He has sold out his soul to a machiavelic project and he is not at all someone to be trusted; no more so that clinton, Bush or any other american president of 20th century.
I don't know why more people haven't realized that right wing libertarians who agree with Ron Paul can agree with the true anti war liberals on significantly reducing military spending. Polls say that about 65% of republicans are pro-war, I don't put that much stock in polls, but that one I believe. The thing is, is even if that is true that still means a majority of the people who vote are anti-war. Same shit different decade. :-(
@Wolffanator Ever argued with someone who asks you "How would you feel if it happened to YOU?" People, apparently, abandon their morals and beliefs when they no longer work in their personal best interest.
65% of Republicans aren't "pro-war," they're just "pro-Old-Testament-style-kickass-of-my-enemies-war." They fail to see that fighting this war, "for our safety," is only serving to bring about their worst fear: the collapse of Amerika and the loss of white, Christian domination.
I have heard that question at times, and I've asked it. The statement about people abonding their morals/beliefs(which they make up themselves anyway) I agree is true about the majority of humans.
That's an interesting way of describing it. What I wonder is if that 65% who thinks we should stay in Iraq and Afgahnistan until we "win", can they even define what winning means? Every time I hear a scenerio of what they're ideas of "winning" is, it seems pretty ridiculous to me.
@Wolffanator Yes... somehow sending our armed forces and reserves to the opposite side of the planet equates into "security."
Funny... 19 Arabs caused 9/11, yet 12 million illegals exist in the U.S. I would have thought that securing the border would've been first priority after 9/11. I've got nothing against the illegals (I understand their drive to want a better life for the next generation). But people do, with a straight face, argue that our porous borders aren't a major security risk.
Barney Frank is such a piece of garbage! And the fact that he would tell such an obvious and transparent lie almost the very instant he opens his mouth speaks volumes about how big of a piece of crap he really is.
He's not fit to shine Dr Paul's shoes, on the contrary. He is most likely made up of the same substance that Dr. Paul would scrape off his shoe at the end of the day.
George Bush wanted to get into Iraq before 9/11. Sp 9/11 didn't change everything it just gave them an excuse to get into Iraq like they wanted to all along.
This all boils down to Military Socialism which is openly supported by "We must save them" Liberals, Chickenhawk Conservatives and Israel First Neocons.
Resolve to serve no more, and you are at once freed. I do not ask that you place hands upon the tyrant to topple him over, but simply that you support him no longer; then you will behold him, like a great Colossus whose pedestal has been pulled away, fall of his own weight and break in pieces.
The gov't MUST begin to fear the people once again!
Watch the film: "Money as Debt" on YouTube
This "big government" & “US Imperialism” problem has it's roots in the Federal Reserve, Fiat Debt-Currency and Fractional Reserve Banking without which "big gov't" could NOT even exist!
Crony Progressive-socialist politicians defend the Fed so they can use Fed “debt notes” to pander for campaign support and votes with pork spending which is paid for with the hidden inflation tax.
Evidence that the divisive rhetoric doesn't always stand in the way of progress. On the other hand I'm somewhat suspicious. Ron Paul inspired a lot of people to get involved in affecting the system to preserve its Constitutional basis through his consistently good character and integrity, but I wonder if some of the people who are buddying up to him aren't doing it out of a sense of self-interest, seeing how much power the movement that he started is gaining. Good for the cause either way.
@waluum I had that exact same thought. Once the "Tea party" movement started getting mainstream attention, Neocons started trying to highjack it. I dont care what anyone says on T.V., the Tea party started completly anti-war.
@TripleC86 : I understand what you're saying, but the Tea Party isn't anti-war, nor is Ron Paul. Paul voted to go into Afghanistan because he understood that we were justified in pursuing those who aided and abetted the 9/11 terrorists, but he did so under the condition that our role not be extended into nation building (which is ultimately did, which is why he ultimately opposed the continuation of it). Iraq was somewhat of the same, except that it was not declared in the same fashion or for...
...the same reason. It's fair to say that Paul, and the Constitutional Conservatism that he made popular (which subsequently formed the Tea Party), does not support war in most cases, but he (and the party) does not completely oppose it.
@lushfauna : Ron Paul is not anti-war he just doesn't support pre-emptive war or war that is not authorized by Congress, which includes all but a few wars we've been involved in in recent history.
That is a good point. I used that inaccurate terminology myself. It's an important distinction to make. My own way of thinking about it is this: There is a big difference between minding your own buisness/defending yourself if neccessary vs. stumbling around in a pub like a drunken fool with beer muscles looking for a fight. The position in reality is being anti-pre-emptive war.
Wow....I thought I'd seriously never see this. One of the smartest, most trusted members of Congress working with Barney Frank! I sincerely do not trust Barney Frank, especially after having him as my rep for four years, but if they're actually willing to do something that really is for the common good and can work together to do it, go gentlemen, go! It's too bad we don't see more across-the-aisle reaching like this. I wonder about motive, but if the result is good, it's immaterial.

I'll bet anything the Soviets said exactly the same thing when they tried to invade afganistan. American politicians give hypocrisy a bad name.
