why did they make it asif durutti column were unpopular and couldn't draw as many crowds in the film 24 hour party people?

Some of it was shit, I agree. Now, I like Durutti Column but it might be considered a little bit snobby for the Manchester thing. Although I reckon Tony Wilson was a bit of a snob. A Genius but a snob none-the-less
