Apparently you remember those. Not many people around me that are a bit older than me haven't even heard about Shocking Blue but personally I find it very enjoyable and let those who enjoys it do so and don't be some weirdo complaining about music you apparently are listening to and searching for. Regarding the roots of this music, I might be wrong indeed as I sadly didn't live around these ages and can only build my own picture of the whole roots with help of a bit more older people, sadly.

I was born in 1960. So I was about 9 when "Venus" came out. Of course, it was on AM radio everyday. As a very musically inclined nine-year-old, I was spending my money from shovelling driveways and cutting grass on 45s, mostly Beatles songs. marvelous. I too had the 45 RPM with Venus and this on the B side. Might have been a year or two before I even listened to the flip side then it was quite haunting. One of their better songs in my opinion. Oh what memories of long ago. The voices and singing just seemed to carry more emotion.
