This is of course true, but Vic Reeves was originally a character, as the host of "Vic Reeves Big Night Out". Then it became a stage name, as with success most people knew him as Vic, and had no idea it wasn't his real name. Jim has referred to him as a character before. When more relaxed and not performing, he tends to go by the name of Jim I have noticed.
