i don't think she tries not even a bit to look like tarja... anyway, they are wt and it will be pleasant to see ppl ho can draw a line between them and the rest of the bands, like evanescence, nightwish, etc... they are just themselves
@adeline7777 Besides the fact that the main bands After forever, Nightwish, Within Temptation, Evanescence.... they were all formed right around 95 to 96.... they aren't copying each other they all had their style long before the others were known. Tarja has a strong throbbing operatic voice, Amy has a semi high pitch soulful voice, Sharons voice is like bells, Floors is clear but powerful.... nothing alike any of them comparing just doesn't work.
They are great no matter before or after... i have met them and seem them live many times they are a rarity the passion the bring on the stage and outside the stage hard to find on bands nowdays..
yep I do not question that ! better see within temptation live than lacuna coil or evanescence for example who cannot establish a good communication with even their fans when they play and when they're backstage .......
actually i have never seen evanescence live so no comment on that.. as for Lacuna Coil well not sure about your experience but i have seen them twice and both times i have had the opportunity to meet them and also be right on the front row at their concerts and they also had great interaction on stage and outside...
okay I never saw lacuna coil but I 've read many live reports which said the opposite, especially on huge festivals where they were playin' .... after all it depends on the view you have and on many other things concerning the band ....
wow you are a great fan !!!! but it seems that within temptation has failed now to keep going forward and endlessly does the same album .... I hope (since I enjoy their music too ) that it's only a matter of time ....
yeah, their new album isn't that spectacular. it's a good album to get you started but if you've heard them for a while then there's nothing really big about it.
truth beneath the rose (the epic song of the album) doesn't come at all close to decever of fools, or the promise.
it's a pity they try to sound like evanescence .... but their new album is not that bad, it just lacks personnality just as the american band I mentioned... hope they'll rise again soon to their past level in the same way paradise lost did some time ago
i wouldnt say they are trying to sound like evanescence simply cause amy lee is not a soprano i know alot of people give amy lee a hard time but for the type of voice she has its skilled but that isnt the point sharon has always been higher clearer sharper very distinct in my eyes her notes ring like bells
@TearisShatteredMoon Sharon isn't a soprano believe it or not she actually has the same range as Amy Lee, the big difference is that Sharon's voice is very light, so does sound like a soprano, but she isn't. her voice is so light it makes it sound like the notes shes hitting are actually alot higher then whats they actually are. it doesn't matter though, they both have beautiful voices and are very sexy talented women
@xoxlithium Eh, I disagree, I spent much time in choir and music and her range is soprano, though you don't hear it much anymore it was showcased well as such in enter. but you are right they are both beautiful ladies who are talented and enjoyable. My point was pretty much sick of all the comparing.

I think she is trying to be like Tjara Turunen from Nightwish. But ok, she is good...but can't compare with Tjara..she has stronger voice!

There is only one like Tarja, but also there is only one like Sharon. In my opinion, both are unique in her own style.
